Great color but you may need more than just the tube
I really took a chance with this product, as I had never even heard of the brand before. I did an all-over color with the 1B Blue Black so I had to also purchase the AGE beautiful Permanent Hair Color Dye Liquid Creme Starter Kit. Or you'd need at least the developer. But the kit comes with an amazing shampoo and conditioner and a wipe to remove dye on your face after the wash. I also had some serious grey hair around my ears and in 30 minutes, all gone! The color took to my hair beautifully and I was so impressed with the cleanup. Any coloring on the skin around my ears and neck were taken care of by the wipe. The water ran clear very quickly when I was ready to wash it and no droplets stained my tub. I even found a couple drops on my sink, but a wipe with a towel on the dry surface and you'd never know I dyed my hair in that room! My hair feels great and the shampoo and conditioner also has it smelling wonderful!

best perm black dye i’ve tried
to be fair i only tried 1 perm black and 1 temp black, but both of those faded to brown in the first 2 washes. yes, even the permanent black one. which, no shade, but was the ion permanent black color. this one i put on and instantly after washing it out, i didn’t even feel like it wasn’t black enough *at all*, it’s amazing. the color was so dark people thought that i only *just* dyed my hair black. i just washed my hair for the first time after dying it and it’s still black. also it doesn’t leave any sort of smell in your hair afterwards unlike the ion one (i feel bad for dissing it but its true). the only smell it has is the smell of the processing, its like hair bleach smell but way less. its not a strong smell. i feel like one telling sign it’ll last is that i use one of those plastic spiral hair ties to tie up my hair when it was processing, and with the previous dyes, it left no stains, but this one it did. i guess that also says don’t use one of those hair ties unless you want it to turn splotchy black.oh and i forgot, the dye goes through 3 phases when washing out, purple -> red -> dehydrated piss yellow. so if this happens to you, don’t worry.

Came out much better than salon!!
I've been getting my hair colored at the salon due to some greys on my temple. I thought I'd try doing it myself to save money :) I'm glad I did some research and found this product, because it came out perfect!I have naturally black fine hair with some brown tones. I also have old highlights, which I have been told many times that they don't usually color over it since it will just fade and the highlight will show through again.I went with the 3NN, even though I've been reading to go 1 to 2 shades lighter and also read a review that said their hair turned jet black. So my hair did turn pretty black, but I'd rather go darker than lighter to see how the color will turn out on my hair. In the future, I may mix the 3NN with some 4N.The process was simple enough with the right tools, but I can definitely use improvement in application. So I didn't read whether it should be measured by weight vs. volume. I ended up doing volume (which I later read it should be by weight) - it still turned out well. I started putting the color in the grays, then all over the roots. After 30 min., I went ahead and colored the rest of my hair with the old highlights, and left it for another 10 min. Right before shampooing, I spread the color all around my hair. I didn't by the starter kit, so I used L’Oréal Paris Moisture Sulfate Free Shampoo and Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Intensive Treatment. I had to rinse a couple of times until the water ran clear. With that, my hair came out quite soft after blow drying. It's been a week now and the color has not faded. My hair is also not overly dry or damaged (just what is expected with color). Also, there was no stinging on my scalp, which I always had at the salon! I know my greys will grow out (already seeing it after a week), but I'm happy I'm able to save at least $50 in doing this at home vs. the salon.

Good grey coverage, color darker than normal
Positives: for me it covers my grey really well. I use the black color so you can’t get any darker so that isn’t an issue. Note: I use 10 volume to spare my hair damage. I don’t have any trouble with it washing out but I do have my grey hair grow out so I color about every 3 weeks because I can’t stand it. Using 10 volume I haven’t noticed damage to my hair and the color has been consistent. I did use a dark brown before and had the same results for context.Negative: if you choose a lighter color it does come out about a level darker than it looks like it should. As most hair color does it will stain your skin so make sure and wipe it off right away or you will be scrubbing with alcohol wipes or walking around with it like that until it washes off. Price is only about a dollar or two higher than the beauty store and I’ve had no issue with the quality and I’ve been through a lot of tubes off amazon.

Worked well on my dark brown asian hair!
My original hair color is dark brown, typical East Asian hair.I mixed two 8AA and one 7AA with 30 volume developer. My roots did came out a bit brighter than the rest of my hair, but it did give me a nice ash-brown color! Will buy again.

No developer- what a useless product!
Why sell something that you can’t use whithout the other bit! Who sells developer separate to hair color! Seriously. Talk about making life difficult ….

Black 🖤
Nice hair dye, I previously coloured my hair red and I wanted to go back to my dark brown hair. I tried the 3nn intense darkest brown and it perfectly covered all the red in my hair, the colour turned out close to jet black .
