Math on steroids
Ok so when I saw the word "math" in the title, I thought I'm pretty good with math so why not, right? Holy times tables Batman did I get what I paid for. This book is so interesting and absolutely FILLED with with math, math, and more math. I never knew there were literally hundreds of math formulas, and the way the author presents everything is done very well. From math theories, to word problems and everything in between, this book challenges the mind to test yourself. The book determined that I wasn't as good at math as I thought, that's for sure. Well done to the creators of this book, I think and child or young adult (or adult that thinks they're a math whiz) will get enjoyment from this book.

Math Made Simple
I'll admit, I'm almost 30 and struggled with math all my life, especially in school. I didn't get the patient tutelage I needed in order to make sure I understood the concepts exactly as I needed to, at least enough to get by. This is one of those books. I'll have to read more than one to study, but Magic With Maths allows readers like myself who struggle with math to learn about the basic concepts in a very easy-to-follow format. This book is honestly for all ages of people who want to brush up on or learn a lot more about mathematics.Definitely get it for someone who's struggling with learning math. You won't regret it.

Fun Read for the Inquisitive
Magic with Maths takes a look at arithmetic, geometry, algebra, statistics, probability, number theory, percentages and time. The simpler topics like arithmetic, percentages and time are amenable to a reasonably thorough treatment - including basic principles, shortcuts and amusing and sometimes insightful riddles. The section on geometry is also instructive although it would have been nice to include figures of the various shapes discussed. The rest of the subjects, especially statistics and probability, require a real textbook for understanding. And I think the hope would be that the information presented on these subjects would wet the appetite of the reader to follow up with more reading and study. All in all though Magic with Maths is a very worthwhile starter for the young, or young at heart, who wish to broaden their knowledge of some very interesting subjects.

Takes me back to childhood math
When I was a child, I stumbled upon a speed math book in my school library. I borrowed it, took it home, and absorbed a plethora of techniques that have stayed with me throughout the years. Now, I've encountered this new book and can't help but think that my grandson will thoroughly enjoy it!What captivates me about this book is its unique structure, a departure from the one I perused in my youth. The content is categorized by different branches of mathematics such as arithmetic, geometry, statistics, probability, and time. This arrangement lends a sharp focus to the problems presented in each chapter. Every section commences with a compilation of user-friendly shortcut methods, followed by hands-on problems to solve. The entire experience is immensely enjoyable, all the while retaining significant practical value in real-world scenarios.

Ok book. Not what I was expecting. Nice cover, but no pictures or diagrams.
It's ok. I was expecting more math tricks and shortcuts than what it has. It's a lot of math sentences and riddles, some definitions. Examples are inefficient imo, especially for a kid who isn't used to dry text explanation of math concepts without a visual to help out. It doesn't have pictures or diagrams of any kind so not really great for young kids.

A Great Math Teacher
This is a great math book that starts with the fundamentals and finishes with fun, challenging problems that put the basics to work. The subject matter is broad, starting with elementary math and delving into more esoteric analytical tools like standard deviation. This book is a great refresher for all ages. Highly recommended.

Kindle version is a total waste.
Poor editing has made this book a total waste of time. The multiplication asterisk, in many equations, is missing. As it is, I cannot recommend the Kindle version of this book as a learning tool.

Fascinating - and useful for a lifetime
I'm an efficiency minded person - so learning hacks which save me time and keep me in the flow matter to me. Truth be told I never cared for math. My old thought process was - we have calculators - so what's the point? Over the years I learned that knowing math, algebra, geometry, etc trained my mind to be able to think in another manner - very powerful. I loved this book because page after page provided simple tricks and hacks to solve problems - and quickly.

good book for elementary and junior high students
The title of book is misleading, I couldn’t find anything magical about this book. As an adult, I do the calculations similar to the tips in this book. However, I think the books tips and riddles or math questions are good for grades of five to eight students and the age group between 9 to 14 can benefit most from this math book. I gave it 4 stars because the presentation of the concepts and tips was not good. There was no picture to explain the tips to make them attractive for kids in the mentioned age group!

Great Book For Kids To Learn In A Fun Way
I thought this book was written very well and really knows the audience it is aimed at.Great examples and questions at the end of each section that make a change for the ususal generic way of teaching kids about maths and numbers.

A must-have reference book for all the family.
I thought this book would be a useful revision of my maths knowledge and soon found it was much more than that. The Shortcuts sections were the most useful to me for well written definitions with painstakingly detailed examples. The Riddles are fun and would surely encourage kids to practice their maths, being story-based. The last 5 “Magic with” sections made me wish I’d had maths teachers with such succinct descriptions and examples. An excellent book I fully recommend.

Proof reading neede
What I didn't like was the apparent lack of proof reading, there are several examples were a multiplication symbol is required, but they are missing making the definition wrong and useless. As a book of explanation for mathematical terms it fails

Loved it!
This is a really good book which covers so many principles in mathematics in with quirky puzzls-like methods. Working through this book really gets the gears going! The answers also give brief explenations rather than just the anser as well. I think for whatever reason I was expecting images? But it somehow works itself out pretty well without them!
