Easy
I liked that it was easy to step down onto; it just didn't completely flatten the cans. But it did squish well enough.

A Clever Rig That's Not Quite Done
The most notable feature about this product is that it is not made of cheap flimsy material. When it arrived I was surprised by the weight of the package. I just expected something lighter. It reminded me of a tire jack rigged for crushing recyclable cans. The contraption is quite easy to assemble. Just put the two screws in the proper place and you're ready to go. I would suggest keeping it in a designated space. It's heavy enough to trip over and bulky enough to get in the way. Once you're started one thing becomes certain and that is that this thing pulverizes cans. The cans come out just like they do in the picture. The cans are flat as a board and if you line it up correctly it will "close" the can by folding up the can top back into the original position. The screw positioning gives you the option of two can sizes (12oz/16oz) and it also fits those annoying little skinny cans that are being used today. While this crusher does a great job crushing cans there are a couple of flaws. There is no place to store the screws when you are done. This product has a lock so that you can return it to the folded position when you are done but you can't close the thing up and lock it on the side without removing the nut and screw that sets the can size. If you leave the screw in you cannot close and lock the unit and it will stand on the floor in the open position until you remove it. If your household is anything like mine, without a way to store everything, those screws will go missing in no time at all. The small screw that sits at the other end is so small that anything could loosen it. It is also very sharp so if you have little children or pets you definitely don't want it ending up in somebody's mouth. It could be a choking hazard or much worse. The second flaw is the way the can has to be placed. There are only the two screws to guide the can into place. There is no shaped molding or any other kind of guide so lining it up by sight to get it to fit is your only option and without any other option it can be problematic getting the cans correctly lined up. If you are crushing a pile of them at once this can get very frustrating as well as time consuming. This is not made of cheap materials and the idea is a great one. It pulverizes cans and will allow you to fit hundreds if not thousands of them in a container before it has to go out. The design however seems to be only half engineered for its given purpose and comes across to me as a device made out of a leftover metal mold for some other product. It is a great unfinished idea that works well but its usability could be greatly improved. In most circumstances I would not give any product that I believe is incomplete more than one star. I gave this a three star rating because it is made of good material and it functions completely as advertised. Did I think it's a great idea? Yes, but it is clearly an incomplete one, and with that caveat you can decide for yourself if this is worth an investment of your hard earned money.

Was hoping for better!
I was looking forward to this can crusher as we drink a-lot of seltzer and have a lot of cans. There isn’t anything i would recommend about this. Its very awkward and the can slides making it difficult to crush the can. Wouldn’t recommend

Really sturdy crusher - requires a lot of force and cans slip out easily
My kids are old enough to start crushing cans, and the father-in-law has a can crusher so I wanted to try this one. It is HEAVY but effective. My 9 year old weights under 60 pounds and doesn't have near enough weight on her to crush a single can. My 100+ pound 13 year old can do it no problem, and of course I have no problem. But I can also stomp on them without any tools! This does the job okay but probably every 7th or 8th one the can slips under the bolt or over the bolt and you have to reposition and start over. The whole point is to be able to do the job quickly when you have a lot, and I can see this might get frustrating over time. I also suspect we'll figure out the sweet spot so the slipping doesn't happen.
