Automatic Pet Feeder Pet Dish with Intelligent Real Voice Recorder Timer Dry & Wet Food Dispenser with LCD Display and 240ML 5 Capacity for Cats, Dogs, and House Animals (Blue)

With some fine-tuning the CanineStar Automatic Pet Feeder solved our problem.  We have a Houdini cat who tries to get into everything, including the timed cat feeder.  He would push it around the floor, turn it upside down, and eventually figured out how to pop the lid to get to the food, making it useless.  After hours of research I purchased the CanineStar as several reviewers mentioned their cat could not break into the tray.  However, after pushing and clawing the lid our boy managed to remover the cover.   Not to be discouraged, we came up with Plan B…and purchased Grifiti Big-A Silicone Bands (12”) and a package of industrial Velcro.  The feeder is now Velcro’d to the tile floor with two silicone bands firmly in place around the outside of the feeder.  Problem solved!  He cannot push it around the room, try to lift it with his claws or remove the cover.  It works great for their 4AM breakfast, or if we leave them overnight, and once they hear my voice on the recorder they are off and running!   The CanineStar is a well-made, functional feeder.  Easy to program, easy to clean, and works with both batteries or an electrical outlet.  Love it!

I've used this feeder for my cat for over a year and it's perfect! Except for one tiny thing. I forget which time it is, but it's either 12:00 or 24:00 hours where if that is the meal time, it will get skipped. Not a problem if you just set the clock 5 minutes fast and put the meal time to 12:05 or 24:05. I don't use the voice recorder but my cat hears it rotating & goes running (sometimes she sleeps through it). She is a fatty at heart and has tried biting/ scratching this machine to get food out, but it remains functional and even unscathed! The beeping when you set the times is kinda loud, but when it rotates it's not too noisy. Very easy to clean as well.

I am very disappointed with this product. I followed the install instructions and all went well for the first couple of feedings, but then I noticed one day while replenishing my cats food that the clock had switched to military time. So, I went through the process of changing it back to regular time, and the following day it was BACK on military time. My poor cat was never fed because the timer did not go off as it was supposed to. The batteries are brand new as I have only owned this product for about 2 weeks. My cat cannot be blamed for stepping on it either because in order to change any of the settings you need to hit a very small button on the back of the product itself. Not happy. I ended up going with another feeder that was cheaper and I haven't had any issues with.

Read before buying this product.Worked as advertised except one important thing. The meals can only be delivered over a 24 hour period. No where in the product description does it note that. So if you want to feed your pet 2 meals per day, two days in a row (to cover a weekend), you are out of luck. I emailed CanineStar with questions, such as is there a way to feed meals past 24 hours, but they did not respond back - its been over 5 business days.

Good device for feeding my diabetic cat several times a day.I fill up the dish with wet food and freeze overnight so he can eat while I am at work.Only issue is that you have to know what compartment in the dish will be open before filling it up as it spins clockwise and you can't turn it manually.Could be user error but have to set the time at 5 minutes later to spin it sometimes before leaving.

I have 3 cats and its hard to feed them on time because of my work schedule. Used to just leave a big portion of food out there and they will eat whatever they want but I found they gained too much weight.. I bought this a week ago and tried it since the day I received. The seller was so nice to give a cat play silicon ball as a free gift. The auto feeder is easy to set up and my cats love it. I recorded my voice into the feeder and set the time pretty close since I only bought one to try it out. But since it works pretty good to have the cats eat on time, i’ll but more to have them eat seperately. Anyways, highly recommend this feeder!!!

I've had this feeder for less than three months and it's already giving me grief. I really liked it at first, but now the rotating tray is suddenly acting up and giving me error messages. I've tried removing all batteries and unplugging it to reset it, which worked for a few days, but now its showing the error message any time I try to reinstall all of the batteries and restart. I would love to return it in exchange for a new one, but unfortunately my return window closed about a month ago. I guess I'll have to find a different feeder that I can rely on when I'm not home.

This is a rather late review. I bought this feeder last December and since I got it, I am able to sleep through the night. Before getting the feeder, I was woken up every night from in the middle of the night by my forever hungry cat. I get to control the amount of food for eat feed which helped with his vomiting. The feeder has set a routine and my cat knows when he will get his food. The cat-proof buttons are great as my cat will step all over the top of the feeder. Initially he tried to pry open the cover but was unsuccessful. This is a fantastic product. Ideal for cats that need to be fed in the middle of the night and/or need small feeds throughout the day.
