Replacement Slider Side Cover Headband Parts Repair Kit for Sony WH-1000XM2 MDR-1000X Headphones

My wife is happy to have her headset back after a long time. The kit includes all the necessary tools to replace the damaged parts. It seems more robust than the original.

Recommend for ppl that are patient and don’t mind the rougher material (compared to original)Also replaced the cushion headbandIt feels like brand NEW headphones :)

The pieces worked great! Came with all the necessary parts and tool needed for an easy install in 10 minutes. The only negative is it has a rough, matte texture, which blends ok when fully assembled but is very different from the original smooth plastic. The new piece is much sturdier tho, and feels secure. The fit of the pieces is very snug, but is not exact so there is a different feel when moving the ear pieces. Honestly, 9/10 tho. Those are the only complaints, everything else was fantastic and would recommend it to anyone!

Ordered based on compatibility in description, but it did not work. Ended up returning this item.

Ease of installation

Came fast and easy online instructions, replaced my broken headphone side in about 5 minutes. It does look different (matte black vs shiny) but they were clear about this on the instructions and for 6 y/o headphones I'm happy to just be able to keep them!

This kit worked perfectly for me MDR-1000X. I am super happy because I love these headphones.
