Great mystery, great heroine, laugh-out-loud humor
I loved this second novel in author Susan Isaacs' Corie Geller series. She uses the deft touch of a fencing master to characterize ex-FBI agent Corie, her idiosyncratic family, and the situations she and her retired-NYPD dad encounter while investigating a cold case of fatal arson. Strongly recommended for readers who like wit with their whodunits.

Bad, Bad Seymour Brown by Susan Isaacs
I have read ‘Bad, Bad Seymour Brown’, A Corrie Geller Novel by Susan Isaacs and I give it 4 stars. I would have given it more but there is a lot of North American words and jargon I just couldn’t fathom out at all. Nevertheless, a good, detailed story albeit a longer story than I normally read but it was good read. A cold case which can be difficult and a lot longer to solve at the best of times and can take more investigation. A lot of patience and a fair number of dead ends can be met. A family house had been set on fire, but the child managed to escape. Although the child now a lot older was young and a bit of deciphering is needed to help solve the case in hand. It kept me guessing for a while, but I never got it.

Summer Reading
An easy read. Characters from the first Corie Geller book are back….but only in a small way. Bad, Bad Seymour Brown was good but not great! ‘Shining Through’ was GREAT!!

As expected…Perfect!
I’ve always loved Susan Isaacs writings. This one not only doesn’t disappoint…it’s even better than the first Cory Geller book. Thank you Susan Isaacs . More ,please.

Wanted: An Editor
A good small story that drags on and on….until you feel like screaming “Please stop!” Probably 100 pages longer than it needed to be.
