Good bang for your buck
I recently decided to start getting back into makeup and, while I already own a few brushes I got off of Shein a couple years ago, I decided to treat myself to some new brushes because who doesn't like to use cute brushes to do their makeup?I was looking around when I came across the listing for these BS-Mall brushes. I liked the simple white and black colors, but I saw these pink ones and knew they were for me. In other reviews, the brushes looked nice and soft, sturdy, and like they were a decent size. Others said there was a strong aroma once they opened their package, but that didn't scare me away from wanting to buy these and give 'em a try. And for $13? What did I have to lose.I received them yesterday and right off the bat I was greeted with a strong scent of acetone or something similar, but I left the brushes laid out on my desk overnight and the smell's pretty much gone. You'd have to bury your nose in the brushes themselves to get a small whiff, but it's not noticeable anymore so that problem's taken care of. Anyways, I was super excited when I opened them up because I personally think they look like high-end makeup brushes. They appear to be fully functional, I used them after taking these photos and they did a great job picking up product for my makeup application, the small fluffy ones did a great job blending out my eyeshadows, and none of these poked or jabbed me as I pat them or ran them against my face. I haven't noticed any shedding besides one bristle sticking out of one of the bigger brushes (you might be able to spot it in my pictures), and I believe you get a good bang for your buck.Whether you've been using makeup since you were an adolescent or if you have a niece/daughter/granddaughter/friend wanting to get into makeup, I think these brushes would be a great gift for them or yourself. They don't feel cheap and janky to me and they get the job done.

An exceptional bang for your buck!
Disclaimer: I decided to try and use these entirely in place of my current brushes to review them fully. Obviously, not all of them are direct swaps for what I presently use. The photo above shows the brush I used for each aspect with my normal brush above it. The following products were used for testing: Tarte Rainforest of the Sea foundation, NARS Creamy Concealer, Wander Beauty brow pencil, Ciate setting powder, Hot Mama blush by The Balm Cosmetics, Pacifica Beauty bronzer, the Urban Decay Heat eyeshadow palette and ColourPop Highlighter from their Disney Villains Hades collection. For foundation, I used the Face Flat Brush. Normally, I use an Urban Decay Optical Blurring Brush or a knock off beauty blender from Target. On touch, I noticed the Flat Face Brush felt a little less dense than my normal brush, and a little bit softer as a result. I like to use this brush in more of a buffing circular motion than a stippling technique. It seemed to take more product than the UD brush for the same area, and the finish was a little more sheer and natural looking, but it still covered well and looked great so no major complaints.I then went to do brows, which as mentioned above, is pencil. Normally, I would just use the spoolie on the brow pencil, but I wanted to test everything that I possibly could so I used the Eyelash Brush. It was a lot bigger and softer than the spoolie and blended my brow pencil a lot better than the spoolie it came with. 10/10 would use again for this purpose.I then used the Classic Eyeshadow Brush to put a base color over my entire eye. Usually, I use a Farrah brush I got in an ipsy bag or the flat side of the UD double ended shadow brush that came in my palette for this. It was really soft and spread the color evenly with no patchiness. I also did not notice a ton of fall out or excess pigment that needed to be tapped out of the brush before use.I then used the Angled Detail Brush to add a crease color. Again, usually this is the flat side of my UD brush or a random Farrah Brush. I anticipated with how cheap these were that the color pick up would not be very good or that the brush itself would eat all of the color and not really put it on my eye, so I accidentally used waaaaaay too much and it was a bit darker than I was going for. The eyeshadow brushes were definitely surpassing my expectations up to this point.I used what is identified as the Concealer Brush as a more precise brush to apply a color along my upper and lower lashline. Its a fairly matte and dark color, so any streakiness was observed pretty quick. I had to do two passes to get rid of any streaks etc, though I wonder if this was partially to do with me using the brush for a purpose other than recommended or if I was hesitant to use as much color as I could have due to my earlier over deposit on the crease.I used the Blender Brush with nothing on it to blend my crease fiasco from earlier and add a transition color, which I would normally use the blending side of the UD brush or, yep, you guessed it, Farrah brush from my Ipsy bag for. It worked incredible. This brush is by far better than my Farrah brush and it will become my daily use brush.I used the Mini Flame Brush for concealer to kind of really clearly cut my eye look and give it sharp lines. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it glided and that it didn't try to fan outward and lose those defined and even lines like my current brush. It was totally worthless for actually blending my concealer out, though. Again, not sure if this was user error or what. Went in with the Multi-Function brush to blend out, partially to use as many brushes as I could and partially because I just wanted to try and grasp what it is even for because I have never used one in my 20+ years doing my own makeup. It worked decently, but I am not jumping to replace my Vasanti concealer buffer and Farah concealer brush with this combination.I then used the flat angled brush to set under my eyes, which is usually a Moda buffer brush. No major difference between the two in performance, and this was cheaper so I would probably have no qualm switching. They feel identical in softness and density.I then used the Powder Brush to apply a setting powder to my entire face. I use a buffing motion when I do this. I normally use a Farah 50F brush for this. This powder brush is very soft and fluffy, but my sensitive skin didn't love being buffed by it and it definitely felt a little more rough than my Farah. I can see myself using it, but I am not sure I am giving up my OG.I used the Angled Brush to contour my cheek bones and forehead with bronzer. This worked great and I got very clean and nice lines. I wish the color payoff were a little better, but this also could be a product issue as I normally use a different bronzer. I would totally use this again.I used the Tapered Brush to apply blush because I did not have a designated blush brush in this set and wanted to use as many brushes as I could. I normally use an Elf Cosmetics blush brush for this. I got a great color payoff, though i had to work a little more to disburse the product due to smaller brush. I may test this brush with a different function, including the suggested buffing of concealer, though it seems a bit large for that.I used the precision crease brush to highlight, which normally I would use an Elf concealer buffer or Moda fan brush for. I actually got a great result, it just took a bit of extra time due to the smaller size, which again is a user issue, not a brush. I actually bet that the tapered brush I used for blush would be perfect for this. I want to note that I normally use my fingers with this specific highlighter if I do not use the Elf concealer brush, because it has a fairly cream-to-powder consistency that does not play nice with a fan brush.I was over all very impressed with the brushes. They are exceptionally soft and fluffy, I had NO color fall out from my eyeshadow and no bristles fell out and adhered to my face like I often see with budget brushes. The only major downfall and reason I cannot give a full 5 stars is that there is a very strong chemical scent when you open these that takes a while to dissipate. I would definitely buy these again, and I would be curious to try other products from this brand.

Excellent value! Very happy with product!
These makeup brushes are an excellent value for the money! The bristles have a soft yet firm enough feel to apply my makeup perfectly! My old makeup brush had bristles that would come loose and I would constantly be picking them off of my face, which was quite annoying. Not with these brushes! They work well with foundation, concealer, blush, eyeshadow, loose powder or any other type of makeup application imaginable. I love that it came with a storage container as well to keep dirt and debris (and yes germs!) off of the brushes when not in use. They are extremely well made and I am sure will last a long time. I am definitely happy with this purchase.
