Excellent, but use along with the Cateye HR-12 heart monitor.
All in all, a really good bit of kit. As with all these things though, it takes a bit of getting used to. My two gripes are that 1. If you don't use a wheel sensor, it doesn't read speed accurately when you are riding under trees. And 2. It doesn't auto pause like Strava. Otherwise I'm really pleased with it. I tried to pair it with a Coospo heart monitor, but it didn't like it. It picked up the HR-12 Cateye straight away. Uploading from the Padrone Smart+ to Strava is a doddle.

Useless piece of Japanese Tech
The only thing i liked about the head unit is the compactness and the display. Rest of it is just utter crap. The buttons do not work as instructed. I bought the head unit to work both in mirror mode with my smartphone and as direct mode to work with Wahoo cadence and speed sensors. In mirror mode the cadence reading keeps on dropping. Also the phone gets heated up as the Cateye app needs to run continuously. So not a good idea for a long ride of 3 to 4 hours. Now coming to direct mode. It doesn't pair with wahoo cadence and speed sensors though they are Bluetooth Smart enabled and i know the sensors work as they pair with my smartphone. Tried all tricks in the book and still didnt work. Wrote to Cateye and they never replied. Stay clear of Cateye as there is no customer service at all. All you can do is write to them and then wish and pray for them to reply. So i have a dud piece of equipment. I wish i can give no stars.

Good alternative to a Garmin.
This is a cheap alternative, to a Garmin. Yes a Garmin has it’s own GPS built in, and it has a great map display, which the Cateye doesn’t have, but the clues is in the name. This device uses the built in GPS of your smart phone, and via the Cateye cycling app, which is where you can find your full navigation map and many other features, it can log speed, altitude, trip time, average speed, but if you want a full immersive experience, go sensor direct, fitting a speed and cadence sensor and wearing a heart rate monitor opens up a whole new world of data, which can be analysed using the Cateye cycling app or upload your ride into Cateye Atlas or Strava online for even more analysis options.

Very good computer
I bought this computer to work in the mirror mode with my Huawei P30 and it works flawlessly. Connects via Bluetooth within seconds and stays on for the whole duration of my cycling trips. No drops of connection, the measurements are accurate. I haven't noticed a significant difference in phone battery consumption. You just need to have the phone switched on, Bluetooth on, screen off and it can sit in your pocket. Make sure that you go through the phone settings to ensure there is nothing on in settings that will terminate connection (battery saver etc)

Not what is says on the tin!
I bought this from Amazon on the understanding, based on the product image, that it came with the head unit, the speed and cadence sensors, as well as the heart rate monitor. In fact, only the head unit is included. The head unit can be used on its own in mirror mode in conjunction with a smart phone but is not usable on a turbo trainer and no heart rate data is available.I ordered a replacement assuming the order was part-filled but only the head unit arrived second time around as well.I now have two unwanted head units to return to Amazon.

Good for four months...
Initially a very good product, I used it in conjunction with the CatEye app daily (and often nightly)First the battery went after three weeks, ok no problem, now it will freeze constantly, up to four times in a 1 hour cycle which means disconnecting and reconnecting via the app repeatedly. Not acceptable I'm afraid, so I will take either an immediate refund or a replacement.

Bike computer
Ve ry accurate amd reliable. Doesn't vome with a grip and sensors. I would do a box or option for all in one box as it is a bit of hassle to look around gor the remaining parts. Although I don't mind.
