I bought four of these half-liter carafes, and they are great. Made in Italy, they look exactly like the carafe that would appear on your table if you ordered a "mezzo-litro" of the house chianti at a little Italian bistro. I bought them as an easy way to measure and decant a half bottle of wine in the evening. Granted, that's not a half liter, but if you pour until just below the "MEZZO LITRO" text on the carafe, it equals 375 ml. They also look great lined up on the kitchen counter or on a shelf in dining room. I can't speak to the durability, but the glass is thick and seems strong. Great buy for the price!

I love red wine, but it's easy to drink too much. These carafes (they come in a pair) are the perfect half bottle size, they are durable, and I like the shape. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Great carafes that remind me of italy. I love how they say "mezzo" on them (Italian for half) and they are the perfect size if you are 2 people and will only have 1.5 glasses of wine each. These are half litre bottles.Very sturdy and identical to the ones you find in italian restaurants.When I came back from a trip to Italy I looked for things like this to use in my home and these were a great way to bring a touch of Italy back to me and my meals.

Una caraffa di quella con un buon vinello dentro, uno spuntino ed una tovaglia a quadrettini, è una bellezza, sembra di stare in un'osteria degli anni 50. Gli si vedono sopra le marchiature di livello e di capacità, si capisce che è per la mescita commerciale, ed è un oggetto che fa piacere vedere a tavola, come anche il classico fiasco impagliato (chissà se si trovano ancora...). Chiaramente si tratta di gusti, c'è chi a tavola beve birra, bibite o acqua; questa è categoricamente per il vino!
