A small sample - often antiques that simply do not qualify for medical/research grade usage - are made available to osteology enthusiasts worldwide so that they may continue to educate and inform.

Maybe not a purchase for everyone but that's okay with me.
It is indeed an actual human proximal phalange. This is my 3rd bone specimen purchased from Skulls Unlimited International and I've never been disappointed. I currently have a Metatarsal, Metacarpal, an intermediate phalange and the one pictured above.I know that owning human bones might not be for everyone, however if you're in the market for such things, look no further than Skulls Unlimited International.

Exactly as described
There's not a lot to say in a review like this. Ultimately, what you see is what you get. In this case, you get exactly what's described--a genuine finger bone, well-preserved and suitable for educational purposes or display. Though of course there are always variations between individual specimens, the product photo gives you a good representation of what you'll actually receive. If that looks good to you, you won't be disappointed. Mine already looks great in its new home in my cabinet of curiosities.
