Although yet to try it have used some before and it is great to use with chalk pastels.

first impressions are good. A lovely smooth surface

Good thick quality velour paper which takes a lot of pastel. I couldn't move the pastel to blend on the velour and couldn't erase but it holds the chalk very well and I will continue to use the rest of the pack as I liked the result very much.

This 'mat' of soft luxurious !!! I don't know exactly what to call it paper or card? It is so much softer than I anticipated, softer than the velour cushions on my sofa. I haven't tried coloured pencils on it yet, so can't say how difficult it is to work with. The colour selection is good, although I would have left the medium grey out and put in a green or orange as the three greys are very close in colour. The black is one of the darkest black pastel surfaces I've seen.

I loved this when I got it. I have never painted on anything like this before. if you are wanting a blurred whimsical look buy this. probably will buy again

Product fine price beggers believe. Had I looked at more products I could have saved myself £14.00. won't make that mistake again. Very annoyed.
