Right, besides car batteries, other energy storage batteries power also can be supplied, The pump comes with a DC 12v safety device, and it will auto-magically jump off if not applicable.

Q: Will this adapt to Sunoco 5 gal fuel jugs?

I'm reasonably sure that the answer is "yes". This system comes with several different adapter caps that will fit various common fuel jugs/cans. The largest of these adapters should fit the "Sunoco" jugs. I happen to use the 2-handle jugs from Speedway Motors, which I think has the same size cap, and this transfer pump works pretty well with it. The single handle jugs (like the Sunoco) are about 3" shorter than the double-handle jugs, so the suction hose should actually reach the bottom of the jug. With the taller jugs, the last 3-4 inches of fuel need to be poured out by hand.

Q: Does it come with the 5gal-us tank?

No. Just the pump. The pump works very well. I appreciate the automatic shut off so it doesn't overflow. I bought it primarily to fill my motorcycle at home. I have 2- 5 gallon cans. It also comes with adapters for different diameter gas can openings. It takes 4 AA batteries- not included. You will not be disappointed. AI have tried 2 other pumps- one gravity siphoned and the other has a ball hand pump. I was very disappointed with both. Good luck.
