Maybe I got a lemon? I had about two dozen pencils to sharpen when it arrived, of all different kinds. What I noticed right off the bat was that it worked for some pencils, and not for others (all the same size). Maybe it had to do with the quality of the wood? It would revolve for certain pencils and not others.Secondly, I noticed that even the pencils it DID work on, some of them came out with sharp points.... and some of them came out with points where the wood was only sharpened on one side (so the tip is covered in wood, making it unusable unless you chip the wood away yourself). So that's poor quality of sharpening.Then, a week later, the hole for sharpening normal-sized pencils stopped working completely, and now only the big hole works. And still not very well.I've tried with both batteries and plugging in, I've tried cleaning it out, nothing seems to help. I'm disappointed that it didn't hardly last at all.

I bought this because I am a school teacher and needed a pencil sharpener for the classroom. I really like that it has the option of being battery operated to plug it in or to plug it in with a USB. I do wish to have the option of plugging it into the wall though. But it is nice that I can carry it around because it is battery operated as well. I have been using it now and it works great on an even comes with two other replacement sharpeners in the event that the other sharpeners go out which is really nice. It is durable and I am glad I purchased!

I really love this pencil sharpener and it’s exactly what I am looking for! It is compact, with two sharpening holes, one for regular pencil and the bigger one is for crayons. It has usb connection and I especially love the battery operation mode. I can put where the kids study and draw. It’s very quiet too. This package also comes with two backup sharpening inserts and you can replace those when it get overused! Definitely five star product!

Sharpener works great! I bouaght it for $7.99 for a friend who was looking for something cheap. Perfect choice. Well, I loaned my electric one to a friend and of course have not gotten it back...so, I was going to order one more since it was compact and electric or battery operated. Until I saw the new price!! I about had a heart attack!!! WHAT?? A 200%+ price jump since May of 2018?? That’s 4 months! There were 9 left when I looked it up earlier, there are 2 left. Folks, this is NOT a $23 sharpener...$7yes, not $23!!! By far! I would be ashamed if I was OUSI FOR ROBBING people that way!!! I will definitely keep an eye on price changes and make sure I don’t repurchase something with that high of a change!!

My son's cheap colored pencils seemed to be imposible to sharpen with a manual sharpener as the tips were fontantky breakjng off. So I was looking for an inexpensive electric sharpener to do the job...so far the works perfectly to achieve the job. The fact that it will run on A.C. Or batteries is a bonus for us.

My son very like this product ，he said It doesn't take a lot of effort to sharpen a pencil ，and easy to clean，Just removing the cover and dusting away the shavings. It come with a standard USB outlet or 4 AA batteries which will make the shaving be more convenient and portable ，recommend this product for the kids ！

Tends to chew up pencils but who cares, it’s not like pencils are expensive. It’s a lifesaver for how quickly my kids dull pencils doing homework. Love that it can be used with batteries so you can store/use it wherever.

I have to kids, a preschooler that is 4yr old and a 7yr old going onto 2nd grade. This is a great sharpener to have at home for my kiddos to sharpen there pencils color pencils. Great for school.
