Great alternative to vet clinic cones
This is a soft, foam-filled collar (hard to call it a cone when it's not shaped like one!) for when you need to keep cats from licking surgical sites or overgrooming or otherwise accessing parts of their bodies that need to heal. This may be my favorite of the cones I've bought recently (with fosters in mind). It's very well made and cushioned enough to be comfortable for the cat or kitten who wears it. (I'm under no illusions that they'll actually like it, though, lol.) There's a drawstring with pushbutton adjuster/anchor to get it sized properly around a cat's neck.I highly recommend this collar/cone because of the quality and the concept.

Didn't last a minute!
Immediately kicked off by my kitten. Didn't help post surgery at all.

Did not work for my cat
I got this as a backup e-collar for my post-neutered cat. He did not like this one and was able to easily slip it off despite the pull-tie closure being snug to his neck. I thought this would be a good e-collar because it allows more freedom of movement and vision, but he was also able to bend the softer material to reach his surgery site. Perhaps a larger size would have helped, but the fact that he was able to slip out makes me think this e-collar was just not for him. On the plus side, the colors are bright and the collar is easy to clean.

Love soft cones
We love soft cones for the cats after surgery - they just seem more . . . humane than the big plastic cones. They work well for the first day or so and then once that cat becomes a little more active - they are too easy to kick off with their back legs. Our test cat easily broke out of this one in just a few seconds, granted there was nothing wrong with him, but still. We foster kittens and after surgery we are always looking for ways to make them the most comfortable. We still think this will work for the time just after surgery but probably not when they get feeling a little frisky again.

Didn't work for my cat!
This cone is nice and soft. My adult cat could eat with it on. However, she STILL could get to her surgery site on her back leg and foot! Had to send it back.
