wow! just, wow!
This is one of those books that you have to just let it sit with you a while before moving on to another one. The beautiful building of the characters was so eloquently done that you didn’t mind going on this journey with them. They weren’t just words describing it, their persons were brought to life. This was the type of story (and writing) that causes one to smile with the characters when they feel joy, shed a tear or have heart ache (literally) when they experience loss or grief, but also cause one’s heart to flutter when love is displayed.Aside from just the beautiful writing, the messages of hope, forgiveness, and love made this book even better because they were all wrapped around the hope, forgiveness, and love that God has for us! This story beautifully captures God’s longing to pull us close, to give us a new life (in Christ), to let us know we aren’t alone and we are loved…no matter who we are or what we’ve done!I will be pondering this book for who knows how long. Beautiful through and through.

Excellent
Having not started these books in order, I read The Number of Love first then backtracked to A Song Unheard. Both are definite five stars! However, I think this is a five plus. Good writing, plot, romance, intrigue, and suspense. So much closely follows what is happening today in our world (and yet this was written before Feb 2022) that it brings reality right to us. Wonderful read!

Wonderful story
I learned so much world history as I read this book. The characters are beautifully and believably portrayed. And a beautiful love story, besides. The saving grace of Jesus Christ woven throughout.

Impressed
I loved the insight into an author that the first book gave. Then how she handled one fifteen in music and one in code in this book, the second in the series, was SO GOOD. I haven’t been this satisfied at the end of a read in a long time. The characters are mutidementional and true but still can grow. And not just the main characters. She makes me want to read a book about each of the supporting cast as well.I am so eager to read what comes next!

Just LOVE this One!
Swoon...that was the first word that popped out of my mouth when I finished this book. I just LOVE this one by Roseanne White. I loved all the characters and how all their different personalities came out. Roseanne White does such a beautiful job writing historical/mystery with a touch of clean romance. And humor- I loved the banter between Willa and Lukas.Set during the beginning of WW1 Willa who was abandoned at age 6 is now a professional thief and prodigy violinist. She takes a job with Mr. V who is connected to the government in some way. She is sent to find and steal a cypher key from none other than Lukas De Wild renowned violinist and son of a cryptologist. As their lives cross paths the two learn many lessons most importantly about faith, trust and love. Lukas trying to find and protect his family while Willa must take the key from him to save her own family and help her country. This is definitely one that I will reread!

A story with depth and feeling
I expected a theme of music, but this book held even more than that. I enjoy music, but the depth presented in this book made me realize how much more I should appreciate it. Lukas and Willa both dwell on different aspects of music, but together it truly becomes alive. By the end, the song is heard in a beautiful way.To begin with, Lukas is nothing like Peter, and especially at the beginning I rolled my eyes at him so many times. But he is a dear man, and one that was hard NOT to like. Willa was fun to explore, and I loved all the intricate storylines to her character. But Margot probably was my favorite of the three. She was amazing! I was astounded at her knowledge at fourteen, and she made me appreciate mathematics so much more. I love how much she thinks and acts like an adult, and how the end came to play into the story for her ;) Then, there are the bad guys and fascinating characters along the way...like icky Corr and strangely interesting Mr. V.The setting is amazing, and I loved that this was during the early years of World War I. The facts about Belgium immigrants really fascinated me, and everything with finding the key astounded me even more. This whole book is rather shocking, to say the least! The romance irked me at times, because Lukas' attitude is not too unlike other playboy characters, who somehow find a girl that outdoes all the rest of the woman they've been around with (okay, okay, I concede that it's better than the fellow keeping on his rocketed path downward). Thankfully, we are never seen much of his past...just a couple hints here and there. Plus, the girl he picked was good for him after all. There are few kisses, a couple semi-detailed.Spiritual content came forth even more in this book than the first. I loved the progress of it, and how it played a factor into all three MCs. I would have liked to see a little more with Lukas in the end, like Willa, but he obviously had changed for the better ;) There was a good thread of Salvation which I very much appreciated. Now to the writing style...some moments it positively irritated me. There were lots of fragment sentences and run-ons. Grammar teachers would be horrified! But somehow, this author writes it in such a way that pulls you in and in general I couldn't find much fault with it, except that I do love sentences that hold long, beautiful descriptions.I simply can't wait to read Barclay's story. I absolutely loved him in this book, and would have been happy to see more of him!! This story has a lot of depth and feeling, and will hardly leave you without some expression of amazement by the end ;)

Worth Reviewing!
I absolutely fell in love with this book! So far all of Raseanna's books have touched me deeply. Her faith speaks through her characters which I find so admirable. After finishing Raseanna's books I am left feeling fulfilled and strengthened by the will of her characters. Unlike so many Christian authors, it is not the romance or the love story (which is fantastic!) that spoke to me. It was the way Christ was spread throughout the pages of the book, words of wisdom for us readers to capture and apply in our own lives. Thank you Roseanna for letting your faith shine. God bless you!
