This is the 2nd one I have owned from this brand
I had my first one, which was smaller, for about 4 years and then I dropped it and broke the plastic. I was thinking I would get a fancier one anyway, one of those ones with the digital everything. I bought one of those fancy ones, from the brand that rhymes with TowerXL. Words cannot begin to describe how much I hated that thing. I was so used to just spinning the dial and having the food cook. Now I had to push all these different buttons and it was like six pokes before the thing would start cooking. There were other problems but we're not here to talk about that. I gifted it to a friend of mine who didn't care about poking buttons and I bought myself a larger version of the one I had before. I absolutely love it! I'm sure I reviewed the other one, so I will give some tips instead of waxing poetic about my love of my air fryer-- which as I hear this out loud in my head might seem.. weird.Tip number one get parchment papers that fit your air fryer. They're on here, just look for them.Tip number two there is an " official silicone roasting rack" that is sold as an accessory for the instant pot that works beautifully on the air fryer. You simply put it down on top of your parchment paper to keep it from flying into the heating element and catching on fire. Fire is bad. Since it's silicone, it's easy to clean and it's low enough that the food isn't lifted into the heating element. Plus, it helps food to get crispy evenly on both sides, and you can actually prop toast slices up in it.Tip number three, and this is for those of you who cook with your heart, I cook with the air fryer set to max heat and I just turn the dial on to some random number like 20 when it's time to cook. I check my food every couple of minutes, shake it up if necessary, and then close the drawer and let it go back to cooking. Air fryers are able to quickly regain heat levels. I don't follow any recipes, I just go by the rule of thumb that whatever amount of time it was supposed to be in the oven for, it's going to be half or less than half in the air fryer. It's probably going to be closer to a quarter or 1/3 of the amount of time that it should be in a toaster oven.Tip number four, when you first get your air fryer, open the book of instructions and read how long you're supposed to run it before using and do that. I see a lot of people complaining about smell and that's usually because they didn't go through the burn-off process, take the 30 minutes and do that. And tip number five is don't drop the tray! ๐ Just kidding, buy a bunch of tongs, you're going to need them. ๐What a great price and a great buy this air fryer is!

Great Air Fryer
This is one of the best purchases I have made in a long time. Out performs all my expectations. Easy to use, consistent results and easy clean up. Food tastes so good. My neighbor was so impressed with this product that he bought one exactly like mine.

fabulous air fryer
Nothing bad to say about this air fryer, easy to pick up not heavy, cooks fabulously, timer and temperature easy to read, visual and printed. Tray and basket release and remove very easily. Cleaning is perfect non-stick coating works as it should, NON-STICK. I use air fryer liners as well for things that maybe be difficult to take out like fish, large chicken ext. The liners are easy to grab and pull the entire food out in one piece. Highly recommend this brand and model.

How to repair the "tray inserted" safety microswitch.
We have two of these air fryers and love them. We've also given many of them to family and friends as gifts. They do have one quality issue, the safety microswitch, which confirms that the tray is fully inserted, goes bad after a while, most likely due to excessive heat.I searched the internet and found one video on YouTube where someone attempted to diagnose the problem and repair it. They were not successful, but this gave me the confidence to try it myself.Disclaimer: Attempt repairs at your own risk! If you don't know what you're doing, don't try this! Make sure the unit is unplugged and cool before working on it. If you are not handy at repairing things, then best not to try this!!!If you are skilled and confident at doing repairs, then here is what I did. First, gently pry off the two knobs. The lower one was a bit tight, and you need to work your way around gently so as not to break it.Then there are two screws to remove each of the decorative plates for the knobs. Keep the screws together with its plate and remember which plate goes on top and bottom. Then comes the trickiest part: removing the faceplate. The top prongs are held by friction. Pry them up working your way down from the top gently, using care not to crack the faceplate. The lower prongs are just hooked in. Don't try to pry them out! They will break. Once you release the top prongs, you can lift the faceplate up and off vertically. (I got this right on the second one I repaired.)After removing the faceplate you can access the microswitch. It is held by two screws and has two wires attached. These carry 110v so be careful to make sure they are firmly attached to the replacement switch prongs.I got replacement switches online for about $5 each. Be sure to get ones that match the originals as closely as possible. Normally open. I had to squeeze down the connectors on the wires to get them to grip the the terminals on the new switch, because they were thinner than the original switch. Also, be sure the plunger and spring under the microswitch are in correctly in place before screwing the new microswitch in place. Be sure to route the wires back to their original positions before reattaching the faceplate. Then reassemble. First hook the lower prongs of the faceplate in the body, then gently but firmly reinsert the upper prongs starting from the bottom and working your way up, and press down on the faceplate to seat the upper tabs. Then screw the knob trims back in place, press on the two knobs and you're done.Repairing the first one took me a couple of hours and I broke some of the lower tabs of the faceplate, because I worked from the bottom up. The second one took less than 30 minutes in total! It's not bad once you know how. I bought a few extra microswitches to have on hand for future repairs.I guess it's difficult to find switches that can stand up to the heat and function. But it's not so hard to replace them once you know how.Disclaimer: If what I said above doesn't make sense to you, you probably should not attempt this repair. If it does, I hope this is helpful. Again, be careful and make sure it is unplugged and cool before working on it. If you find heat resistant switches, I'd love to know where to buy them!I looked at other air fryer reviews, and many of them had similar complaints. It seems like a design defect for many of them. The safety microswitches are not designed to handle the heat. The replacements are mainly for microwave oven doors, which do not see as much heat.Goid luck!!!

Manual timer is finicky and may stop, but food is great so far
It was bigger than I expected, but looks nice, just required some rearranging. As others have said, the manual timer doesn't work well as it gets toward 5 minutes. Not just when it is set there, but even if starting at 20 minutes mine stopped around 5 minutes and got hung up. Need a back up timer to make sure you don't burn your food. Tried some frozen fries that I had on hand first, and they turned out great! Just had to get past the new appliance smell, which I'm sure will go away.

Good quality air fryer
I purchased this air fryer as I'd had a smaller model before that I was very pleased with. The non stick coating was very good so I'm hoping this will be the same and it appears to be good quality. It's easy to use with basic controls rather than electronic gismos that can confuse me. I found it better than more expensive air fryers that I've used and its easy to clean.

GOOD STUFF
Very happy with the air way it cooks, and very easy to clean it can cook up to 1kg which is good size for 2 hungry people and the price is very reasonable and competitive to other more expensive ones I hope it will last for long time.

I'm in love with my air fryer!
I hate cooking and this is my first ever air fryer. Total game changer! It's faster and a lot less messy than using an oven.I just cook for myself and am still glad I bought a nice large capacity fryer. I use it almost daily. This was one of the less expensive brands so perhaps the quality is not the same as more expensive ones? Still, I love it.4 mild issues:1. the dial at the top is a little difficult to turn, especially if your hands are wet or greasy. It would be helpful of it was ribbed or had some texture to it instead of being super smooth. The downside of not having it be digital(which of course are more expensive), is that it is difficult to set it for exact times--so I invested in a little dollar store digital timer to let me know when I have to turn the food over.2. The basket is SUPER slippery(Teflon) - I have had it slide off my counter a few times, and even slide out of the machine when I don't have it in all the way--fortunately not with food in it! But make sure to put it on some textured surface for traction (tea towel, silicone trivet). when setting it on a counter. The metal is fairly thin and dents quite easily.3. The screws inside the basket come loose - no doubt from all the force it takes at times to put the basket into the machine. I have to tighten them every couple weeks.4. The Teflon is coming off in a couple spots around the top of the baskets, but so far not IN the basket. As a first time air fryer user--I am very pleased overall with this model. I was so enthused about it that my Mom and uncle then bought the same model. You know you're an adult when you get excited about appliances!

Great budget option! Still going strong...
I;ve only had this air fryer for a day but so far I am impressed. It seems like a sturdy and well made unit and the basket has tons of space! I;m glad I chose the larger option out of the 2 Secura models. The UK version has the temperature in celcius which is helpful for folk like me who aren;t really familiar with farenheit. So far I have cooked some scones, double chocolate muffins and some frozen oven chips. Everything was cooked perfectly, even on the underside which my gas oven couldn;t achieve! The pan and insert are easy to clean and the interior part of the main unit just needs a wipe with a hot soapy cloth after use so the whole fryer is very easy to look after. The only thing I have noticed about this air fryer is that the fan sometimes gets a bit noisy. I don;t know if that is normal or just a thing this particular model does.I;m really happy with this air fryer, this brand is not very well known in Europe but gets great reviews in North America so I am hopeful that it will last for a decent amount of time. Its a great option if you don;t want to pay the eye watering price of some of the well known brands - especially if you want a large capacity basket without having to pay an arm and a leg!Edited to add on 19/4/20 : Still madly in love with this air fryer. We now regularly make full sized sponge cakes in 7" tins as well as the usual air fryer fare. It;s easy to clean and cooks food more quickly than my old gas oven used to. Can;t recommend this highly enough.11/09/2022: This air fryer has been such a good purchase, we use it at least 5 times per week and it's still going strong! Can't fault it at all :)
