Fits perfectly for my son, 9 years old

Ordered these for my 7 year old grandson who loves to swim. They work well for him at his age as he's having a growth spurt and they are longer and cover him well. We had our first Florida cool spell this week and he loved having these and a rash guard on as the pool was cooler than normal (only 80 degrees). They are holding up well to almost a month of lessons and free swim use and wash and dry well.

My son swims 6 days a week - 2 hours day as a part of local swim team. So we end up going through minimum of few swimsuits a year. We've tried all kinds of brands and at the end of it all, Arena and TYR are one of the best ones. This Arena swimsuits are great. They fit well, the colorful triangular patterns on the side makes it easy to find them in a crowded pool, it's easy to put on/take off, and they hold up really well. This is a first time we are trying their new "Maxlife" line though - so we'll have to see if these hold up better than the other Areans and TYRs that we have.

I received the Arena Boys Carnival Swim Jammer in navy blue in size 30, which is equivalent to size 14-16. After reading the reviews, I decided to order two sizes up on these swim jammers. I have a large 9 year old that weighs 75 lbs. I could have probably ordered the size 28 and they would have fit, but I would rather have swim jammers too large than too small. There is a drawstring, so I knew at the very least they may feel loose but they wouldn’t fall down! Well, thank goodness I ordered the size 30. They are slightly loose in the thigh and waist, but don’t look too big by any means and they are comfortable for my child! He hates things too tight, so I’m lucky that they fit well now and he may even be able to wear these for a couple of years. The quality is top notch and I love the leg length. The multicolor designs on the sides compliment the navy blue jammers very well. My son really likes them and this is his first pair of jammers. These are going to be great for upcoming swim lessons. Nothing worse than trying to swim lanes with lots of loose fabric on your swim trunks. These jammers solve that problem. Highly recommended!

Waited too long to get my kid the next size and so 26 was his next size, but how these fit we maybe should've jumped to a 28 instead. These are a touch snug, not that he isn't used to wearing small, tight fitting jammers, but we were hoping to get away from the extra snug-ness. We won't be getting as much life out of these as we anticipated -- but it's probably also more of an in between size issue for us too and we need to keep up with his quick growth!
