This is a really nice surge protector! Not only are you provided with piece of mine that your expensive electronic equipment is protected, but there is so much more. First, you get three normal electrical plugs on two sides of the box. Secondly, there are two USB plugs in the front of the protector for easy charging of a couple of phones. Third, there are two shelves that pull out for you to place your phone on while it's charging. This is definitely a surge protector with lots of bells and whistles but it seems that every day these types of bells and whistles are needed more and more. Finally, this surge protector conveniently replaces the faceplate on your wall. There is no more two foot wire (that you don't know where to put) with a power bar at the end of it. With this you simply put this where the faceplate used to be and secure it with the provided screw. It installs in less than a minute.Personally I rely heavily on the reviews of others when I'm shopping. With that said, it's my goal to be as helpful and as honest as possible when writing a review. We bought two of these. Two disappointing factors:1) It doesn't stay in the wall very well. Though it takes up two plugs, it only has one "plug" on the back plus plastic teeth for the other plug, but the plastic teeth don't hold in place well, so it shimmies back and forth and nearly comes out of the wall as I unplug anything. It's just not "solid" feeling. It seems a bit cheap.2) The USB charger is slow. We have an iPad in our kitchen and use this to charge it. It takes 3-4 times longer on this than with our iPad charging plug. SLOW SLOW SLOW. Same with phones. Our phones charge MUCH faster on other plug mounts. Don't know why this is, but is a drawback for me in terms of the USB feature.Other than that they work as advertised.

I chose this product because of the center screw which secures it to the wall outlet (you must remove the outlet cover plate to use this feature).It works perfectly and does NOT come loose from the wall due to the weight of chargers and other plugs pulling it down.The 6 side outlets hold my plugs and charger tightly, with no slippage.The side-facing outlets are perfect for locations behind furniture, keeping all of my cords against the wall.I don't use the USB outlets, as I have a 4-port smart charger plugged into a side outlet, so I can't comment on their performance.Overall, I would recommend this product !

Great outlet, but keep few thing in mind:- It occupies both wall outlets, which I'm not sure is really needed- If you have an oversized AC adapter you might run into troubles because the sides are not very wideI wish usb outlets were on top and one or two AC in the front panel, which would make routing somewhat easier.

I am please with the surge protector overall. Pros- 6 plugs and 2 USB plugs. Price can not be beat 9.99. Has a screw holding the protector in place. Cons- Does not go flush with the wall. Other surge protectors I have, do not have the screw (which is a must) and they pull out of the wall when you pull a plug out.

This plug is great! Great design, I love the fact that the plug is positioned so it doesn't block the other outlet and this also has 2 trays in which to I am able to charge my tablet and phone at the same time! Another great thing is that I don’t have to deal with extra cords hanging from my outlets because this provide 6 extra AC outlets in one single unit. It so compact and lightweight that I put it on my bag and take it when I travel also! The space between outlets is perfect. Easy to install and fits snug over the outlet, giving a slim profile. A well designed product exactly as described and quick shipping. I recommend it and would buy it again. I think I buy another just to keep on hand around the house.

I really like the KMC-6 outlet surge protector. For me, the best feature is that it is screwed to the cover plate. That makes it very unlikely that it would come out of the receptacle when connecting or disconnecting from it. Receptacles wear over time causing them to get a little sloppy or loose. This raises the possibility of pulling the whole surge protector out of the plug-in. This one is screwed securely to the cover plate thus preventing it from coming out of the wall accidentally. I love it and would recommend it.

I got this for my colleagues and my office shared office at work. We have a minimal number of outlets available, and everyone was always looking for a charging adapter for their electronic addictions. This gizmo works out great for both purposes! It is rather wide and tall, so make sure you have a good amount of space around your outlet to make this work; we have a light switch right next to the outlet, so this thingy is pretty tight next to it and in fact is pushed a bit out of proper alignment, but not so much as to render it unusable. Everyone loves having enough outlets and no need for a USB adapter to charge their gear.

Not a 5 as it could use a front plug for larger plugs. Otherwise fine.
