After multiple attempts varying the method of connection (different than the paperwork said) I was able to get it to connect and now seems to work fine. Will see how it does the next year or so

I have a modem that gives out 932mbs of download speed and wifi wise approx about the same. I connected the extender to it as instructed and it connected successfully. I placed the router close and only got 20mbs of download speed, which to be expected. I got approx about 20 to 25 feet away and it approx the same with thin a few mbs difference. I went approx 35 feet and it dropped. The modem it self does use wifi but wanted this to extend. It didn't work as advertise. A bit disappointed. Amazon stepped in and made it right, but wish this product did do better. It has potential and other reviewers may have gotten oen that works and I might gotten a defective one. Still not pleased or happy, so the 1 star rating supports it.

I followed the instructions while setting up the range extender and had issues with it not working properly. I called customer support and they said the router had a virus and for $47.99 or so, it could be resolved. I hung up! I searched YouTube and what wasn’t in the instructions was after plugging the unit in, you had to hold the reset button for 60 seconds prior to connecting to network. After doing this it worked perfect.

I have 2 Ring devices outside my house that i need an extender for. I had a Netgear extender for a couple years and every week or so both Ring devices would just drop off for no reason. Clearly not a Ring issue so i bought this about 2 1/2 months ago and have not had them drop off once. It was super easy to set up and then just forget about it. No issues whatsoever

I recommend using this item in a different room than you sleep in or unplugging at night as the lights are extremely bright. It illuminates my bedroom. This product runs on its “own network” off your network. While it provides wifi coverage where coverage isn’t normally extended to I do find it to be choppy and really slow. It’s good in a pinch but better if you just walk to a different part of your house for coverage.

I had purchased one of these units for my blink security system. It worked well for several weeks and then we had a power outage. After that I could not get the unit to work right. I would power it on and off as they say but it would stay connected to my network for a short while and loose connectivity. I returned it and got another one. Low and behold same issue it worked for a couple month, and we had another power outage, and it is doing the same thing. I have wasted hours powering it on and off and trying to reset it. I would not recommend these to anyone.

I used to run a 30 foot Ethernet cable from the router to reach my home office to make sure I stayed connected. After purchasing the AOOEPU 1200Mbps Wi-Fi extender I was able to put the cable away and have not had any connectivity problems since. The four adjustable antennas allow room for other things to be plugged into the wall outlet as well. Nice product!

The WiFi extender works when it wants I’ve had it since November 2023 and we are looking got a new one since this one does not stay connected, overall very weak I do not recommend
