I had to put up a gate between my house and my neighbors, the concrete walkway between our houses leads right to a very busy street. Also, my dog is psycho (she's even on doggie psych meds). She's already gone right for the throat of the upstairs neighbors German Shepherd who has an easy 40+ lbs on her. In order to make the gate fit I had to have the sides of the gate (the part that screws in/out that attaches to the walls) it just made it too unstable. I didn't even know these things existed until I was over at a friend's house and they had them.They're perfect! I feel more comfortable knowing if/when she sees another dog being walked by and jumps up on the gate it won't give way. Of course I would never leave her outside unattended.Another plus having these, they seem to keep the gate in its spot longer than before using them. For some reason the nitwits upstairs can't figure out how to close the gate without slamming it. Or maybe they do, but just ignorant? I went from having to readjust the gate literally every day to every 3-4 days.I would definitely recommend and purchase again if needed.

Has held up to xl dog trying to run through gate or placing paws on gate.

My gate was just a couple inches too short to go in my hallway. I bought these and they worked perfectly to make up for those couple inches I needed to put my gate and they hold onto the wall well.

These do extend the baby/pet gate to fit a larger opening. But, I would not trust them to be secure if the gate is pushed on a little bit. A medium size dog could simply push this just slightly and the gate just pops right out of the door way. It does extend the gate and the gate will now fit the opening, but ,the gate is no longer secure It is more visual opening cover that secure opening cover.

Our gate wasn’t quite wide enough to fit the space we needed it for, but these definitely made it fit great!

It keeps the baby gate (dog gate) in place. My dogs like to jump at it and it will not budge anymore.

These work great against a wall, but our banister has that glossy wood/laminate feel to it and it does not adhere to that very well. Works great on a regular wall that has ridges!
