I used to use a ton of these
In my previous life, I wrote custom audio/visual software for very high-end clients. We used a ton of these to get TCP/IP access to devices that only had RS-232 ports for control. They were a lifesaver back then, but now most everything comes WiFi/Ethernet or Bluetooth connected, but I still run into legacy devices where you only have RS-232 to work with. Highly recommended

Awful documentation and no support, but lots of features
I had to hunt down the documentation for this unit on the vendor's website, and then critical information (specifically the instructions for putting it into serial command mode) are missing entirely. What documentation there is leaves out a lot of detail and it's very hard to follow. I'm still not sure if I can even configure this thing to accept connections over the wired Ethernet port.I did get it to work on WiFi. I made the mistake of plugging it in to a wired network too, though, which resulted in it unexpectedly working as a bridge so my laptop was getting DHCP from the wired network and couldn't talk to the serial device.I finally figured out what was going on and managed to set it up (only using DHCP - I can't figure out how to set a static IP address) and establish a connection to a Modbus RTU device via RS-485.From the fragmentary documentation it looks like this thing can do a lot, but it's hard to say exactly what or how to do it because it's so poorly written. The vendor so far hasn't responded to my request for help.

Delivered according to promises
I did not know if the promised functions would work but they did after some research on the web.I needed the product to connect a wired device on the common network of the building.
