I got an e-reader for my 11-year-old daughter. This e-reader replaced an original Kindle e-reader, and these new ones are SO much lighter. I wanted a case that didn't add much bulk or weight. This one looks great, seems well made and is pretty sleek.

I've always struggled with extended reading sessions because holding the Kindle is awkward to me. I tried a novelty Kindle cover, which was better but still uncomfortable. This case is light and a nice feeling material. It feels almost like cloth that's been rubberized. I haven't had any issues with wear and tear, and I've been carrying it in my bag every day. The magnet on the cover keeps it closed, and wakes up the Kindle when you open it. It's comfortable to me for long reading sessions.

Actually put a little crack in my Kindle fitting it in,

Durability it’s fine but the magnetic enclosure doesn’t work very well and opens suddenly.It look fine

This case is very nice..... I think the front surface of cover feels like rubber but looks like cloth.. it is very beautiful to look at. In side of the case is soft texture...very smooth that is good for your device.....I recommend this product..

It took me 30 minutes on the Amazon chat and another hour or two trying to find a case for my older "Kindle eReader, Generation 8-2016" with the feature I wanted: the case back folds back flat when open. I do not know why Amazon/Kindle refuses to use nomenclature on their various Kindle models, or why they do not indicate which will fold flat. I have had trouble getting a case for nearly all the 8 or so our family has ordered over the last several years.Anyway, I can confirm that this NiftyNook DOES FIT a "Kindle eReader, Generation 8-2016".Good luck. <g>
