Using this product because I've read that it helps promote healthy hair growth.

For years I haven't been able to take lysine because of it being sourced from corn and making my face break out. But I recently read that since corn is now used in the biofuel industry and demand is high, that lysine is being sourced from cassava instead. So I took a chance on this product, by a company whose supplements I have been taking with good luck in recent years. And it does not make my face break out. Yay. Good for cell wall integrity.

This product does not seem to be very good at keeping my cold sore breakouts in check. I don't know why. I bought it for the gelatin caps. But if this lysine isn't going to work as well as say the Pure Encapsulations brand then I'm going to have to switch to just making caps out of pure powder myself.

I would have loved to try this item, but when I received it, it’s as though someone opened it. It did not have a cover to it. I wasn’t sure if it was laced or not. So I’m refusing to use it. I wanted to exchange or return it, but that is not an option so it’s going in the trash. So be aware! Be careful!
