Fiona Apple - Tidal

Classy, top songs
Classic and classy American singer-songwriter, who is not well known in the UK. She has a reputation in some quarters for being slightly loopy, but I think that's the image she is aiming for. That, and "heroin chic" - so, probably not family-friendly.

gem
It's rare to see an album of music entirely written by the performer, but Apple wrote this one well. Every song is a gem and while the first song (of which there are ten) wasn't meant for piano, the remaining songs featured it as the primary instrument. This means it sounds just like an acoustic version of the CD.The only drawback is how the lyrics are usually incorporated into the piano part (not done by Apple) forcing the original piano score to be simplified somewhat.Bring on 'When the Pawn...'!

Great Songbook
If you have never listened to Fiona Apple's 'Tidal', I highly recommend doing so. Then, if you're a musician, purchase the songbook.

Pleased and reinvigorated with love for this woman's music
I got this used for a great price. The highlights and notes in the margin on this particular copy gave it charm and actually proved to be helpful. Bought to learn "The Child is Gone" specifically, but ended up enjoying this album all over again from this purchase. The content musically was enough for me to work on, as I usually go by the guitar chords and go from there. Can't say yet if the music part itself is hearty enough to satisfy a seasoned piano player who can read music fluidly.

Good and accurate, but with some errors...
It is good in general, but I found some errors, for instance, in "Sullen girl" the low notes are one octave down from what it has to be (I have repeatedly check some live videos), it is good as a reference, out from that it is completely accurate.

Not the piano parts that Fiona actually plays
I love Fiona Apple's music and was very excited about getting this book so I could learn a few of her songs and sing along with the piano part. I was really disappointed when I started reading the music and realized that the vocal line is actually part of the right-hand piano melody. So you're not actually playing the full parts as Fiona Apple plays them, you're playing more like an instrumental "lounge" version. Kind of took the wind out of my sails, and I wish I'd known this beforehand.
