I have been meaning to change two of the guy ropes on my beach fishing shelter for some time now and never got around to it. When I saw these on Amazon I ordered them with that job in mind, easy to fit and now my old fishing shelter is again ready for my next trip to the beach. The two remaining guy ropes are now stowed away in the inside pocket of my old beach-shelter , just incase.

The bivouac tent I have features lacing cords and canvas loops to tie it down to wooden pegs but, using my ingenuity - and some heavy stones or dug-up earth to fill the side pockets and weigh down the tent - these guy ropes can be fashioned and employed as additional securing points, that help keep the tent sides from blowing loose in blustery weather. [Luckily, I managed to test this out in the back garden the day before Storm Babet hit.]I found the ropes strong, sturdy, easy to handle, and the highly visible colour advantageous.Adding additional value to these ropes, is that I can envision using them for other purposes; In our back garden, to tie things down ahead of strong winds; Practising the Japanese art of Shibari, as the bright yellow rope should be quite pleasing to view with its contrasting colour (though, obviously not authentic to the traditional aesthetic), and the ropes knot and unknot easily.For the £7.99(GBP) asking price, I'm happy with the product.
