I bought this product back in March. The gloves seemed great - tough and offering great protection from thorns etc., but soft enough to be pliable and comfortable to wear for extended periods.Unfortunately though before too long they developed several holes in a couple of the fingers tips and elsewhere. I contacted NoCry immediately and was absolutely astounded by the exceptional level of customer service. I wastold the holes likely indicated the gloves were defective and didn't live up to the standards claimed. NoCry immediately refunded the cost of the gloves and sent a replacement pair without charge. Wow!Now, the replacement pair wasn't in stock at that time in my size, so in the interim I was sent a _hand written_ apology that the gloves had failed prematurely, along with a lovely little custom cookie to reinforce the apology (the cookie tasted great by the way!).As soon as the gloves were back in stock I was contacted again by NoCry to inform me that the replacement pair had been dispatched. They arrived promptly, and I have been putting them to good and testing use since. They have performed excellently, are very comfortable to wear for long periods, and are exactly what I was hoping for when I originally purchased the gloves. I am certain that the first pair was an anomaly as shown by the far superior performance of the replacement received since.So not only a great product that actually does as it claims (which is what you tend to get from NoCry - I've bought a few other bits and pieces from them in the past), but also just the most fantastic customer services experience you could hope for. I've never experienced such a high level of customer service, and it's really left an impression on me.This is a company you can trust to make great products, and to honor their word in the service they provide. I will definitely be purchasing from NoCry again in the future :)Thank you again to Raino at NoCry and everyone involved in making the above such a pleasant experience, when it could have been so different with another less conscientious company.

I have big paws and find it a struggle to get gloves that fit. My Dad bought me a pair of gauntlets made by an RHS-endorsed market leading brand and I found them quite uncomfortable, the internal seams rubbing. Then I lost one of them and eventually took the plunge and bought a pair of these "no cry" gloves. The XL are a generous fit, I can wear a pair of my Showa Floreo gloves inside them. They are very comfortable. The leather is softish but resists rose prickles, brambles and even Pyracantha. The surface of the gloves has got a bit crackly after wearing them in the rain for a day (I garden for a living) but I'll find some wax or something to treat them and I think they'll be fine. I've found my lost glove now (in the bottom of my toolbox, doh) but continue to use the No Cry ones. Recommended.

Great gloves, highly protective and the long cuffs are a godsend in those nasty thickets. Very strong, can handle vicious brambles with impunity.

This is the second pair of these gloves I've purchased. They are waterproof and thornproof, but not dog-proof and our lurcher got hold of the first pair. Our garden has roses, brambles and nettles and these gloves cope with everything. They're also light and comfortable enough to wear just for mowing the lawn or light weeding. I have some fancy RHS-approved gloves for doing the roses but they're no better and I like to keep them clean, so these NoCry ones do all the hard work, and they do it well. Recommended, just keep them away from the dog

I bought these because they looked pretty heavy duty ... they are fairly good but not good enough for handling Cacti

They are thick enough to protect from thorn but also soft enough to do intricate movements in. Surprised how flexible they are. Good material and good stitching. Cuff could be longer but you'll just have to wear a thicker shirt.

As per my last review I had some issues with my first pair however the customer service from NoCry was exceptional, replacing the gloves and giving me a refund (along with a personalised apology!). Quite possibly the best customer service I have ever received.I will look forward to using these gloves in the garden and I will look to buy more when they need replacement!5 stars!Previous review:Lasted less than 12 months of light use and the red ink stainsComfortable gloves and provided good protection against monkey puzzle branches however with relatively light use they have worn through on a finger tip in less than 12 months, dissapointed. For the price I'd have hoped they'd have lasted much longer. It feels like they've barely lasted longer than my usual cheap £3 nitrile gloves.As others have mentioned the red ink comes off which feels a bit ridiculous when it is purely decorative.

Great protection and comfort. Used my gloves heavily for gardening and manual work. Love them. Unfortunately some stitching came undone between the palm and the cuff on one glove. This was border-line normal wear and tear but, as NoCry literally sew a tag with their customer care email address etc. onto the glove, I emailed them with a photo and they sent me a replacement pair of gloves! I am sold. You should buy these...
