Great start to the series
I enjoyed Ben and Miles' story. Ben was forced by his family to get a job with billionaire Miles to steal trade secrets. Miles was aware of this but never thought he'd fall for his new assistant who didn't have a bad bone in him. This is a quick paced read and I enjoyed watching Miles fuss over Ben and give him the love and security he craved. I loved Worth, Ford, and Carter and the bond they all have since boarding school and working with Miles. There's not much angst and lots of good times.

Ben & Miles
I’ve read so many of this ladies books and enjoyed every one especially the Merchesi universe, but this didn’t grab me at all as the others did. I felt the story was rather week but then again it could be just me

Great start to series
This is the first book of a new series and if the other books in the series are as good as this it has the potential to be another brilliant series by this author, this was Miles and Bens story who I loved together, we also got to meet Miles group of friends, Ford, Carter and Worth and I’m so looking forward to all of them getting their hea. Great start to series would highly recommend.

Great start to a new series.
Ben is under the thumb of his family and has been coerced into applying for a job at Montgomery enterprises. Billionaire CEO Miles, is well aware of Ben's family and their plan, so he hires Ben on the spot, but doesn't let on he knows. Let the games begin.I enjoyed this book, even though the billionaire trope isn't my favourite. My heart went out to Ben, who is stuck between a rock and a hard place, but his love for life, stubbornness and general unflappable buisness sense leaves Miles impressed and intrigued. The chemistry between the main characters is obvious from their initial meeting, developing into a need for each other, but there are many obstacles thrown in their way.Overall this book is a good M/M, forbidden, office romance, with a morally grey, alpha hero ready to burn the world down for his chance at a HEA. Add in the billionaire friends, and a meddling older lady and the perfect furry companion, it round out the story into a fast paced book without too much angst.I will definitely be reading the rest of the series as it come out.I was given an ARC of this book and this is my real honest review.

Was not a good read
There are mixed reviews for this, however I thought it could be a fun read. It's not. You have an overbearing boss taking advantage of someone that is very naive. I deleted it half way through.

Great start to the series
An interesting start to the series! I’m definitely looking forward to all Miles’ friends finding their HEA. This reminded me a little of Silvia’s book Lucien which is always going to be a good thing - Ben is pushed into taking a job he doesn’t entirely want (in theory he does but not for the reasons that have pushed him to) and Miles is a filthy rich, demanding and slightly morally grey businessman who immediately wants Ben to do a whole lot more than set out in his official job description. The feelings between Ben and Miles are of the insta love variety but there’s still a bit of a wait before anything happens which adds a nice bit of tension to their interactions. I will say, the plot was somewhat predictable and a bit repetitive (the kind of back and forth between Miles and Carter in particular) but it wasn’t really the main focus given Ben and Miles’ relationship and Ben’s family, so it didn’t really bother me. I like that Miles’ friends are so willing to bring people into their circle once they understood the person was important to one of them. Ford and Worth were super sweet with Ben (I think Worth may already be my favourite) and it was nice to see them being genuinely supportive to Ben when he needed it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fun book to read! Love Miles obsession with Ben! I love the over protectiveness and possessiveness he has!! I wish there were more consequences for the whole issue with Ben’s family, maybe more stakes! I didn’t need the story to have more of his family but I was not concerned what’s so ever. I knew everything would be ok, so there was not enough tension! Other than that, I really enjoyed the story!! ❤️

Cheesy
Ah Silvia...she writes fantastic chemistry. These two are hot together and we see the full cast being introduced. Hoping the posh knitting circle stays for the series. The dialogue is definitely on the obvious and shallow side being cheesy but on cheese there are great food descriptions too. Yum..

A beautifully, romantic office romance
Ben is bring forced by his abusive family to spy on his new boss Miles Montgomery. Miles is a billionair CEO. He knows from the start who Ben is and what he was sent to do. But once he meets the younger man he knows he will make Ben his. I loved this story because from the start you sympathize with Ben. Ben has been isolated from the world by his criminal fame. He is a kind and compassionate man. But he has been physically and emotionally abused by his family his whole life. He has no escape. But he also knows he could never betray ot hurt Miles. With the addition of Mile's close childhood friend and an older woman, this book is filled with a beautiful storyline. I loved how Miles was allowed to be soft and protective towards Ben. The building of the relationship was beautiful. The drama of Nen's family didn't shadow the true live story. There is plenty of romsnce with the sex scenes. I rooted for the two main characters the whole story and only hate that it is over. Definitely a book i will be rereading for years.
