Fine salt, very confusing and indeterminate origins
This is a bag of salt from a company called Himalayan Chef. While the company appears to specialize in Himalayan Salt - a pink salt variety mined from one of a few mines in South Asia - this bag is a lot more confusing. It contains a white-colored "kosher Himalayan sea salt", which is a claim that doesn't make a lot of sense to me: sort of by definition, sea salt comes from a sea, not from the mountains of the Himalayas? In fact, the product listing here says two conflicting origins: one paragraph claims it comes from "Europe sea", wherever that is, and the other says it comes from the Dead Sea. Neither are anywhere close to the Himalayas. The "country of origin" is listed as USA, further muddling the issue. So if we set aside all that confusion and evaluate what's in the bag, it's nice salt! It's a standard white kosher salt, of the kind you'd typically use for everyday cooking and seasoning. It tastes good and I didn't notice any obvious impurities in the bag, and the zippered bag allows you to fill your salt well and then tuck the rest away for later use.So, if you're looking for a bag of kosher salt, this is a perfectly fine choice. If you're specifically looking for Himalayan salt... I wouldn't gamble on this bag's contents originating from that area in one of those specific mines, though.

It's salt
It's salty salt. It tastes like salt. It does have a cleaner taste than regular table salt. And slightly different than my pink Himalayan salt. There isn't a chemical taste or smell. It works well in my grinder. Although it could be used as is since it's not as coarse as the other salt. The resealable bag is convenient.

While the salt tastes fine and works well for my meals, something doesn't add up
This product, marketed as "Kosher Himalayan Sea Salt" by Himalayan Chef, presents some confusion regarding its origin. The use of the word Himalayan on the packaging would imply it was mined from a source from the Himalayan mountains yet it claims to be sea salt which should be sourced from the ocean. Despite the conflicting information, including claims of sourcing from Europe and the Dead Sea, even though the Country of Origin is listed as USA, the salt itself is pleasant. It features a cleaner taste compared to regular table salt and differs slightly from the pink Himalayan salt that I'm accustomed to. It performs well in my grinder, although its finer texture allows for use directly from the bag.

It’s Salt, But Make it Fancy!
Who knew upgrading your salt could feel this fancy? This sea salt has officially dethroned my table salt—it’s like going from fast food to a gourmet meal! The fine grain is perfect for everything from sprinkling on fries to making that fancy salted caramel dessert I’ve been meaning to try (one day...). No additives, just pure, all-natural goodness. Plus, it’s kosher, vegan, and halal, so it checks all the boxes. I’ve got enough to last me through a salt apocalypse, and at this price, I’m not mad about it!

3 pound bag of coarsely ground Himalayan sea salt
Good salt for cooking with. It is a little more coarse than table salt, so if you're going to use it with a shaker, you may need one with larger holes. Fortunately, I keep all my old spice bottles, so I found one that works with this salt. However, the bag is resealable and makes the salt more accessible to use with teaspoons. The flavor is good. It tastes like salt! It tastes fresh and was properly sealed. Himalayan salt has many health benefits, so I prefer using it more than standard table salt.

Tasty salt to enjoy
This is a tasty salt you can add to your foods to get the flavor you want out of them. You don't have to use too much to get enough salt taste in your food to make it excellent. As you get so much it'll last for a while or you'll create many meals out of them. I like that it's in a resealable bag but you can put it in another container if you'd like. They're a good granule size so it makes for a good topping salt too. Though I believe it's best when you mix it into your food and they melt on their own.

Himalayan Chef Kosher Sea Salt, Fine Grain Kosher Salt, Tastes Great, Healthy Choice!
I’m truly impressed with the quality of this sea salt compared to the cheaper grocery store brands I used to use. My only issue was with the initial shaker, which arrived without an outer plastic covering and with the inner aluminum seal open. However, after contacting Amazon, they promptly sent a replacement the next day. The replacement arrived with both the inner seal intact and a protective plastic seal on the lid. This salt is completely unprocessed and represents the purest form possible. It’s free from bleaches, preservatives, and chemical additives, and contains up to 84 essential minerals. It’s the healthiest salt you can buy for your family.
