Fossilized Dinosaur Bone with agate from Colorado. This is a loose cabochon ready to be set. This fossil shows the structure of the dinosaur bone the brownish green color is the actual bone, red, clear coloration is agate this is where the blood would have flowed in the bone All cabochons in my shop are cut by my hands with special attention paid to perfecting a graceful shape with a flawless contour. Then brought to the ultimate polished. The back is not polished and the edges are beveled. This serves to minimize the chance of chipping when setting into hand fabricated metal bezels or wire wrapping.
