I will say that this switch support still be atmos and they'll be vision and even works with arc and earc I have not verified 8k capabilities but one issue I did notice is the remote no longer works with it and in order to switch it to manual you have to hold down the button for 3 seconds on the device. Itself can be powered either through HDMI or through the USB if you are. Device does not support power over HDMI works with Xbox to provide full 4K and Dolby Atmos and Dolby vision. It froze up one day so I unplugged it for a day and plugged it back in to try it again to see if it would work and it did but the remote didn't work with it anymore. I may have just gotten a defective unit but overall I still use it and it does really well

I purchased this as a method for simplifying my outdoor projector setup. I just needed a device that switched HDMI source between a Roku box and my Steam Link. It's got a nice metal case, a button and a remote. It just works, and I have not noticed any degradation in signal.That said it does have two issues. First is that the Infrared sensitivity is low so the remote pretty much has to be pointing right at it to work, a pretty minor issue.A more annoying problem though is that it will not switch sources if there is no signal on the source you're trying to switch to. In my case my Steam Link goes to sleep when not in use; I'd like to be able to switch the source to it first and then wake it up. This really decreases the convenience of the device, as now I have to always remember to wake up the device first, which is just one more step in an already pretty long list of steps to get the projector and its media sources up and running.If it just switched sources without needing the source to be active this would be a 5 star product.

Lightning quick switch perfect for a gamers streaming/workstation

I couldn't get my tv to even recognize this switch was connected to the hdmi port. It was powered on, at least the lights were lit up. i might try on another tv. But I had a different switch with more hdmi ports so I hooked it up and it worked for all of my devices.
