I absolutely love the taste and texture of these caramels. They have a smooth licorice taste and they melt in your mouth. They’ve become my new addiction!

Ordered these for my dad, a black licorice lover, and he said they were the best licorice caramels he ever had. My mom, who doesn’t really care for black licorice, even had some and said they were so creamy and delicious. I highly recommend this treat to anyone looking to get a unique gift for licorice lovers.

Given as a gift. The recipient advised that the caramel was soft and had a delicious, natural licorice flavor and liked them very much.

I was so looking forward to enjoying this licorice, but was disappointed after the first bite. The licorice has a gritty texture and a unpleasant after taste, like that of some diet foods. At first I thought maybe they sent me a diet version of the licorice by mistake, so I checked the ingredients (which are not listed in AmazonPrime's product description) to see what it contained. The one ingredient that stood out was Sorbitol, a low-calorie plant-derived sugar substitute used in a variety of foods, including diet foods. This licorice has high reviews, so It might just be a matter of personal taste that I find it unpleasant. None the less, I spent $40 for two 2-lb boxes of Gustav's licorice that I won't eat. I attempted to return it using the "return" feature but was told that it cannot be returned. Unfortunately, it's my loss.

Best tasting Licorice ever but, it is pricey!
