Anthony Stoneware is the pottery of Paul Anthony and Tim Jaqua who work from their studio in Western North Carolina using traditional techniques of wheel-throwing and slab construction. Not only do they mix their own glazes, but the pottery is fired in a gas-fired kiln which they designed and built. Please note that glaze colors and textures will vary, especially with French Blue. These variations are what make each piece unique and confirm the artisan nature of the work.

beautiful and simple
This was a gift to my mother. we moved my moth closer to us. in the process of that move I broke her sponge holder . It was make by a local artisan at a craft fair. But it's 2020 so I was glad find one here. She loved it better than the one she had.

Stops sour kitchen sponge issues!
Love it! It is beautiful. But the best is no more sour sink sponge!

Thrilled with my purchase.
I am using it as a napkin holder. I had a friend that just loved the one I had and could not find one like it to give to her, so I gave her mine. I looked for a new one and much to my surprise I found one that matched my salt and pepper shakers which I purchased 5 or so years ago. I would not have bought it if my friend did not like mine so much. Now she has one the matches her dishes and I have one that matches my shakers. Great find. Love it.

Absolutely lovely in every way
I've really enjoyed adding this to my kitchen. It allows the sponges to dry out. The aesthetic is quite pleasing; it has a beautiful, homemade, and earthy look to it. It's a bit pricier than I was looking to spend but overall I am satisfied with the purchase.

Unique, beautiful and functional
The picture does not do this unique piece of stoneware justice. It is beautiful. It holds my sponge perfectly and the glaze matches the other pieces I have around it perfectly. I do not believe until you have actually seen it that you can truly appreciate its beauty and functionality.
