i like the product it just showed up without being wrapped for safety, when i opened it up the jar it was seal was not stuck on and the product was exposed. then i found out it is a unreturnable item !

But is it sweet???I couldn't tell from the "supplement facts" label, shown on the product page.There is not any ingredient that I can see (like sugar, stevia, splenda, etc) listed.Also, it shows as 1 carb(ohydrate) per serving (love that).As one that does low carb and loves chocolate, I had to try this "cacao" flavored immunity drink.Is it sweet???No.As is my practice whenever I order a powdered drink mix, I stuck my finger in the powder, put it on my tongue and tasted the powder.As powder, it tastes like.....Unsweetened Cacao.I'm always leery about mushroom stuff; I've ordered mushroom infused coffee and that, like this, amazes me. It's a great blend; there is no weird "funk" flavor.Just the slightly sharp taste of the cacao and it'll sound weird ('cuz there's none in here) the slightest taste of cinnamon.So, you will either like that taste or maybe give a sweet boost with your favorite sweetener.The product page says "mix one scoop to 8 ounces of coffee or warm milk.."(The scoop in mine was hiding; I used a fork and gently fished around in the jar to dig it out...).There are heat warnings as I write this, so, this went into my iced coffee.I started with 8 ounces of sweetened coffee and in went some half and half, so the mix ratio was not to spec, as far as the instructions go.The coffee was already cold, and if you know cocoa or cacao, you know it's not really happy about being mixed into a cold liquid.I always use one of those hand held frother/mixers to "assemble" my coffee, and that's what I did with this;if you're doing cold, I recommend using a mixer.This added a pleasant layer of flavor to my cold coffee; just like when I tasted the powder itself, no "funk" flavor or anything undesirable.Like it!Glad I ordered.I hope this review has been helpful and enables you to make an informed purchase decision.I rarely give an overall 5 star rating.

This is pretty nice powder, taken from the real fruiting body of mushrooms and not just the mycellium strands. The taste is mild enough that I really couldn't even tell I'd added any, so that is good, though I was hoping for maybe more of a cocoa-hint perhaps. There was a noticeable "sludge" left in my coffee afterwards, despite my stirring, but I didn't get that as much with milk and so I think it helps to have a little bit of thickness in the liquid, versus pure simple black coffee as I prefer it.It's great that the product is almost-fully organic, but if you look at the ingredients list the Xanthan gum used is non-organic, which is a shame as that is often made from corn or other cheap sugars, which can introduce pesticides, GMOs, and metals an "organic" product shouldn't have. Without specifically saying what the Xanthan gum is made from, you just don't know. It's great the mushrooms themselves are such quality- but the added after-harvest ingredients kind of bring this down to just "nice" and not "great".Overall, this was a fun way to try mushroom powder, and I don't regret getting it, but I wasn't exactly impressed, either. I'll be fair and say this is 3-stars- it is definitely a cut above for using real fruiting-body mushrooms, but it doesn't mix well with my black coffee and the non-organic Xanthan gum does drag this down from what I would give a completely 100%-organic product.

I’m new to the mushroom game for health benefit. And I was surprised it’s very similar to Cocoa powder, and I don’t like to eat mushrooms, so I was nervous about using them for beneficial reasons , and this did not give me any sort of ick. It definitely looks costly in a way that some quality ingredients and consistency is at play here. I definitely think it’s worth the money for all the benefits that this offers.
