This kit is great!!
I have not used the bath bomb set yet but I’m so impressed with the amount of colors you get and the fact that it came with the shrink wrap material. I make bath bombs with my grand daughter and her friends and I only had boring food coloring. I can’t wait to see what these colors look like. I’ll post an update after I try them out but I wanted to put a review on here since I didn’t have one to go buy when I purchased it.Update 10-12-18Love the kit!! The colours came out pastel but I like them and think they are pretty. The bags would be better if they were round on the bottom but they worked fine. I redeeed some that are round on the bottom. Love how the bath bombs turned out. Very happy with the kit and would buy it again

Works Great!
These work great and I love the huge variety of colors that it not only came with but that you can create as well. Truly a great price for everything you get and way cheaper than we found in craft stores.

Best natural color dye!
I purchased these to use in my sugar scrubs and they work perfectly! I've been using them and haven't had any problems with the colors or any type of breakouts. The dyes are the perfect color I need & each bottle tells you how many drops you need to get the correct color you're trying to achieve.

Like the dye - shrink bags not so much
I bought the dye for bath bombs and sugar scrubs. The colors are vibrant and pretty for this purpose. The colors didn't cause any discolorations or lingering color on my tub when using my homemade bath products. I tried using the shrink bags for the bath bombs, but had problems getting them to shrink properly so I gave up on those. I would have preferred larger bottles of the basic colors and mix colors on my own. 18 choices with many similar shades were more than I needed. A little goes a long way so I was pleased with how long they will last.

Definitely recommend!
I got this set as a gift for my mom, who makes all her own bath bombs and lotions and everything - and she loves it!! Note that even the biggest mold is still about half the size of the enormous bath bombs you get at Lush (the size in comparison to the hand in the photo is accurate) - but they're the perfect size for compact gifts or if you don't want to use all your product on a single bath bomb. The shrink wrap is a bit difficult because you have to blow dry it to wrap the bombs, but SO worth it in the end because they come out ADORABLE! Note that the plastic wrap heat sealer does not come with batteries, though, so you'll need to purchase those separately. All in all a great set for whoever loves making bath bombs!

I love all the colors here
I love all the colors here! We use it for science activities (like coloring vinegar to mix with baking soda to see the reaction) and I like that the dye my kids are using is safe and washes out. The blues and greens worked well for remaking some soaps we had previously made (remelting and cooling it). Great kit if you need dyes (the shrink wrap bags are a nice bonus too!).

Okay to start: 3.5 stars
I'd like to give this 3.5 stars, but I just can't justify the full 4 stars. I used this product in a broad variety of applications, so this review takes all those applications into consideration. For reference, it's been about four weeks since I unmolded my first cold process project using these colorants, so while there are another two weeks in which things might happen, I've done enough other projects that don't require a lot of time to cure that I feel safe sharing my findings.Overall, this is an okay, decently-priced option for the new-to-soaping soap-maker (I say this as something of a neophyte to the hobby, myself). I was pleased with it (initially), but it didn't blow me away. My biggest problem (and why it isn't a 4-star product) is that the "grape" (the only true purple, and I really needed a pre-mixed purple) turned out to be a blue in the wrong label. Then the Navy and the Neon Blue (when I did a color check with water) looked the same... as the blue in my grape-labeled bottle. Also, I've had problems with the lids' collars slipping off unexpectedly to land in my batter or my melt and pour. So far nothing catastrophic, but it's inconvenient. In cold process: color holds up okay in cold process soap. I found I used way more of the Warm Red than I felt comfortable with in a two-cup volume of batter to achieve just a pale pink, though. I didn't expect a true red, but that was *a* *lot* of dye to get even a pale pink - I'm glad this batch is staying home. On the other hand, the Navy I used for the same batch didn't need nearly as much to get about the same intensity of color. I didn't notice any acceleration of trace, though one of my soaps did see some slight color bleed. Just a little fuzzing or blurring at the edges where white soap and colored soap touched. In melt-and-pour: does very well in melt-and-pour. Color is bold in the clear, predictably pastel when using the white base. When making 'coffee beans' for another project, I found that getting them dark enough was a bit of a struggle; the black, which I used to darken the bronze, proved much more forgiving than I'm accustomed to. If you're starting your soap-making journey and want to play with melt and pour for awhile before attempting cold or hot process, then this is something to look at.In bath bombs/shower fizzies/solid sugar scrub: colors were predictably pastel (because of the white ingredients), and it didn't take tons and tons of color to achieve the desired shade. No one has complained about the color messing up their tubs/shelves/skin/whatever.Pros:-Price is reasonable-Works well in melt and pour, bath bombs, shower fizzies, and solid sugar scrubs. (So a lot of your one-afternoon projects.)Cons:-The lids' collars may pop off unexpectedly and land in your project. Messy and inconvenient, but hardly project-ruining.-I was supposed to have a purple... and ended up with another blue in a bottle marked purple. This may be a fluke, but the Lavender and Fuchsia did not strike me as good substitutes for the proper purple. I did have a project that relied on having a purple colorant, and I've had to start looking into workarounds (I've never had good success in mixing my own purples. They end up too red or too blue and just wrong compared to what's in my mind's eye.)-May take more colorant than you feel comfortable using when working with cold process. I know cold process is rough on dyes, and that colro may take time to mature. But these dyes are apparently not uniform in how they react to the cold process environment. It's something to be aware of.So, for fellow soap-making neophytes, this is a cost-effective place to start, especially if you're into melt and pour (or any of the fizzy/sugar projects aforementioned). If you consider yourself 'playing a round with a new hobby' and aren't relying on any one color being present, this is a product to consider. I wouldn't recommend this for the serious soap-maker, however.
