Good light duty jacket for the woods.
I saw this jacket while searching for an m-65 field jacket on Amazon and decided to give it a shot. I was mainly looking for a mid-weight jacket to wear out in the woods but this jacket seemed to be more versatile in that I could also wear it in town without looking like a Rambo wannabe. I read the reviews that said it ran large which was great since I like to wear layers in the cooler months rather than one thick, bulky coat. First impressions were that it was much lighter than I thought it would be and cheaply made but after a week or so of wearing it I have grown to like it a lot. It's made of a lighter weight cotton twill like you would find on button front shirts but it is generously cut for layering. I can wear it comfortably in temps up to the mid 60's with a short sleeve shirt underneath and layered with a flannel I have worn it temps in the mid 40's with no problem. I bought a Joe's USA mid-weight zip front hoodie to wear underneath for when it gets colder out. That should have me covered (pun intended) for temps down to around the freezing mark. When it gets into the twenties or below I will wear my Carhartt. The jacket looks good and I like the double zipper that lets you sit without constricting your legs. I am 6'1 260 and the 2x is a good fit for me but I find it to be a little constricting in the shoulders when working outdoors. This garment was probably not designed as a working or outdoor adventure garment so I'm not going to knock it for that. I think the best thing about this jacket is the pockets. If there's one thing I like in an outdoor garment it's pockets and lot of 'em. This jacket has pockets to spare. I wore it to sight in my muzzle loader this year and I had plenty of room for binoculars, powder flask, powder measure, power belts, short starter and primers. The small pockets are a great idea and are the perfect spot for those small Items that tend to get lost in the bigger pockets. The one on the sleeve is just big enough for an altoids tin; the one on the body is a little too small for an altoids tin but is a great place for a zippo, emergency fire starter, shotgun shells or a compact MP3 player. The "map" pocket is a great place for your phone because it has a zipper closure so your phone can't fall out if the jacket gets turned upside down for some reason. The snaps are stylish and sturdy. The only gripes I have about the jacket are the plastic zipper, the light weight fabric it is made of and the flimsy cotton pull tabs for the pockets. For all the things I like about it I have serious doubts about the overall durability of the garment. It is definitely made more for urban commutes than hard outdoor use but that's what my Carhartt is for. It should be perfectly fine for a relaxing day spent loafing in the woods whittling sticks around a fire.

Love it!
I'm a 320lb man with a large belly and this jacket gave me a waist and fit great! There's enough pockets for your kindle, ipod, phone, etc. There's no lining which is great for me cause I can layer up if I need to. I run hot like an oven anyway. I got 3x big cause I'm barely 5'10 and the jacket came over my waist. I would've liked the side pockets a little wider for my hands but I have big meat hooks so maybe they're normal size. 5 stars. Came early too.

The Jacket is great, not too heavy but not too light
The Jacket is great, not too heavy but not too light, and love the design. I am a big guy with broad shoulders and chest and usually order a 3xl cotton shirts or button up shirts so its not too tight in the upper body. After reading other peoples comments, I decided on ordering a 2xl and I am glad. At first I was worried it may be too small(as all my sweatshirts/jackets are 3xl) but it fits great, can easily zip up with plenty of room. I'm glad I read the comments as the way the 2xl fit on me the 3xl would of been extremely too big and I would have had to replace it.

Nice multi pocket jacket.
I guess you could say I like these jackets as I own two of them. These tend to run big which is handy because there is no insulation or even a lining. So layering is a must in cold weather. I am 6 ft 2 and have a 60 inch waist and the 6xl is quite loose on me. I can easily wear a thermal lined hoodie under it with room to spare. The 6xl is regular, not tall so the sleeves could be a little longer but are okay. I just bought a 5xl tall, it's still quite roomy but not too much so. I might still be able to wear the hoodie under this as well. I have yet to wash either jacket so no idea about shrinkage. It's cotton so I figure there'd be some. My only real complaint is the snaps for the pockets are a bit odd. I would have preferred regular snaps or even buttons.

Zipper doesn't work
I am 6 foot one inch and weight 205 pounds, size 38 waist. I ordered a XL long as I like a little looseness so that II can wear another garment under the jacket . This one at XL long is just too large for that.. Should have order just a Large Long. The major problem is the zipper. On the inside, the sipper's cloth edging is too close to the zipper and it won't zip. I even forced it somewhat but it just doesn't slide. I don't know if this is just a problem with the one jacket I got or not. I made a mistake of washing the jacket in hopes it might shrink some but that didn't happen either. With the zipper problem the jacket is worthless to me.

Great quality
This jacket fit perfect. Usually I order a 3x and the clothing is still a little tight. This jacket fit perfect with a little extra room to wear a hoodie underneath. This is good for the cool nights.

Tight in the shoulders
Fits well thru the body, length is great. The problem is a tight fit in the shoulders and sleeve lenght. I tried a 3x which was way too big. No way this can be worn over more than a t shirt.
