Hilka 82830020 3 Ton Trolley Jack , Black

Bought to help work with Peugeot Partner van. It worked well. Supported the weight of the van okay. I lifted to full height (midway across the van and just back from engine). High enough so that axle stands could be used to a good working height. No problems with lifting. However the silly round bar handle is a bit crap. It has a kink pressed into the valve release end of the bar (so that the diameter of the bar is squeezed into a loose figure of eight shape at the end) The kinked or squeezed end is supposed to grip the square valve nut at the rear of the jack. Unfortunate this shoddy botch-job slips without grip when you spin the handle to release pressure and allow the vehicle to lower. Depending on which side of the figure-8 kink you use with the valve,- there is either no grip or some grip. My old Trolley Jack has a small bar welded into the end diameter which slots into a groove in the valve nut (very secure and solidly engages). When you're working fast and need to check the valve is tight or need to lower the vehicle quickly I think a more substantial system for engaging with the valve is required. There's only two requirement needed when designing and selling something like this (keeping the pressure and adjusting the height) One out of two was overlooked I think...

Very pleased with it

its ok for the money,however its not capable of lifting my 2.5 ton truck in the centre of the axle to get 2 wheels of the ground.it can only lift one wheel at a time.i would have returned it but as i used it and it got dirty/marked i didnt bother.should only be rated at 2 tons really,if you have a heavier vehicle like me its not up to the job.

Broke in first use. Oil came out everywhere
