Wow.. !
The media could not be loaded. I dont normally bother writing reviews but if you are considering buying this item, you wont regret it. You can pay about £500 for the philips Hue system or less than £100 for this ? its a no brainer.Easy to set up. App installed easily and the calibration of the camera was straightforward. The fitting of the corner pieces was easy and the led strip itself was fine but I did have to use some extra Command Strip stickers to ensure the 90 bend on the led srip stayed in place. I fitted teh camera at the bottom on the top of the unit in front of teh TV, so unlike the Govee this camera can be mounted top or bottomThere are loads of settings and colour options so its easy to tailor it to the type of lighting intensity you want. Response time is good with no real lag. In the video i attached the setting is Full 4D with that set to Vivid and the lighting intensity dialled back a little. I would recommend that the colour of teh wall behind teh TV is either white or at least a pale colour. My wall is a dark blue so the reflected white light tends to take on a slightly blue tinge. For the price this is pretty impressive bit of kit and well worth the money

Wonderfully bright, colourful, and functional!
This lightstrip is absolutely fantastic! I bought these as they work with all of my HomeKit devices, such as my homepods, and they work flawlessly with thread, they respond instantly! The brightness of these is absolutely fantastic as well, more than enough to light up a room and quite efficient too, the rated brightness of 2200 lumens for whites is 100% accurate, maybe a little blinding at times. They stick quite well, although don't expect them to stick as well if you move them around as they lose a lot of their adhesion. These are second to none especially considering the price of competitors like Philips Hue or Eve, which also have inferior brightness from my experience. These also don't require a hub like most other competitors, which is quite nice and adds to the cost benefits. Overall, 10/10 from me, one of my best purchases in the last year!

Great lights, bright and accurate
Really nice set of lights, camera works surprisingly well once setup.Although I did have a hiccup where it lost connection during the setup, and I think that resulted in me missing a calibration step which became important later and was difficult to figure out, as it meant I had to commit to cutting the strip without knowing if that would fix it. Luckily it did, it caused it to tell me to recalibrate the corners.Sadly the corner pieces are useless and just fall off because they provide no adhesives for attaching the to the TV, good idea, poor execution on those.

Too much effort required
Yet another piece of Chinese junk that requires far too much effort to set up. I've set it up several times only for it to become unreachable and thus unusable. The transitions are too fast and instead of being immersive are simply distracting and annoying. Admittedly, this is probably something that could be sorted if I could get the damn thing to stay connected to the rubbish app long enough to adjust settings. At this price point the thing should just be plug and play and 5ghz compatible, or at least have bluetooth for setup ease like other products. Would not recommend based on my experience so far.Edit: I've had it and tinkered with it for a few days now and still think its overrated. There are options to set the extent to which the LEDs copy the colours on the screen:The 4D option, which allegedly copies the screen colours exactly, simply doesnt really do what it says. For me the setting is too distracting. The 3D option which allegedly approximates the colours on the screen tries hard but again fails to match the colours properly. However its less distracting.2D mode is meant to simply project the dominant screen colour, but again, it doesnt really do this very well.1D mode simply shines white. This is the only mode that is accurate. There are vibrancy settings in the app which allow you to switch between Cinematic, Vivid and Custom. Cinematic and Vivid seem nearly identical to my eye and changing settings in the Custom menu just turns everything either blue or green or completely washed out.

Excellent, fast response, great colour and very bright.
I’ve tried several light strips including Hue, Osram and cheaper versions and this is the best I’ve found for Apple HomeKit IF you connect via thread (I use a mini HomePod)The first thing you need to do when you get these is to upgrade the firmware via the Nanoleaf app, it’s simple to do and makes a huge improvement to their functionality. Nanoleafs bulbs are also very good and (with thread) much better than the Hue equivalents, I just wish Nanoleaf would make GU10 lamps so I could replace my Hue lamps which are slow and unresponsive.

Great lights, terrible connectivity.
I’ve installed these as a backlight for my desk. The effect I get is fantastic and the fact that I can control the brightness and colours from my phone is great. However, these lights are a nightmare to keep connected. I use them later on at night with the ‘bedtime’ scene to help me wind down, but I’ll have to disconnect Wi-Fi and mobile data on my phone then reconnect to try and turn them off. I’ve reinstalled the app, reconnected the lights to the app and it’s the same thing. I’ll also be sat directly next to them throughout this process.I purchased a Philips Hue lamp to accompany this for phone controlled RGB lighting and it connects instantly! Every time! I want to like these lights, but for ease of connection and reliability I’m most likely going to commit to the Hue system. So to summarise, great lights but the connectivity is a real bummer. 3/5 stars.
