This is a gorgeous tall porcelain mug from Chippewyan Dene artist John Rombough entitled Bear! The lilac mug has a colorful abstract bear around the entire mug; two pine trees are on the inside rim. “On an early spring morning, the bear in his elements is walking along side grandfather rocks. As the Ancestors watch over the land, the ravens welcome the bear from a long winters nap.” It's 4 ½” tall x 3" opening with a 2 3/8” base and in new condition in a beautiful gift box with a short biography of the artist. It is dishwasher and microwave safe. Chippewyan Dene artist John Rombough was born in the remote community of Sioux Lookout in Northern Ontario, Canada. John Rombough is recognized as a role model throughout Northwest Territories and takes his role very seriously. His paintings are instrumental in conveying a message to the youth, a message of encouragement, leadership, strength, will power, and determination.
