Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I was really against things like this as I tought they were cruel towards animals, however when I did take my Belgian Malinois for training, the trainer himself was using a similar device. He explained to me that this can be adjusted to different levels of electrical current, and that really fast the dogs learn that the beeping sound before the current means they are doing something wrong and it is only a matter of short time before they stop the unwanted behavior altogether. He said that you should not set the current to a high setting, but just something small to make the dog aware that it is an unwanted behavior. Worked like a charm with the trainer, so decided to get one myself and have it handy if needed, without paying for trainer services.This specific device seems to be well built, nicely designed, and easy to use. Added a shot video of the unpacking so you can see what you get in the box.

Both collar and remote seem to be good quality, but the LCD screen on the remote times out after 40 seconds, shortly thereafter goes into a sleep mode. This makes it difficult to be timely. When the dog misbehaves, have to power on the remote with one button, which makes the remote beep, then press the action button to correct the dog.For active training session this would be fine. To correct the dog during his daily activities it would not be a good choice. Our small rescue dog had some aggression/possessive issues, and we need to be able to correct on the spot. Getting our hands in the mix like Cesar Milan does is not always an option. This dog is very smart, and is responding to correction and follow thru. We just wanted one more tool in our toolbox and was hoping this was it.High quality, but the remote timing out doesn't make the device as effective as it could be. Remote has bright screen, easy to understand, and can be paired to 2 different collars. Vibration has 8 levels and is very strong. Shock has 8 levels as well, but we have not used that. The tone mode has one level setting and could possibly be enough for most dogs - ours definitely doesn't like the tone.

The remote works, but honestly a $20 remote was better than this. I have had it for about a week and here is my opinion on it. It looks very nice, sleek, elegant almost, looks high end. The box holding the remote came damaged. It seems to work up to a good bit of distance, my three biggest complaints is that 1, it is not a "blind operation" remote, so you have to look at it and make sure it is on the correct mode, then press the button to either do the vibrate, shock, or noise. My second complaint is that the remote beeps fairly loudly with every press of the button, and it gets annoying. My third and biggest complaint is that the remote and collar have an auto shut off to save battery. The remote doing that is fine, but the collar is doing it so I have to find my dog and go press the power button and then shock her, by then it is too late. I got this remote with the main purpose to quickly correct issues and for also, when she is off leash for her to come back to me, but if the collar has not been used for 20ish minutes, then it turns off which completely depletes the purpose of the collar. Very disappointed and will be returning.

This collar is a great one! It is slightly smaller than most and isn’t all black plus the collar portion of the unit holds tight. The remote is very easy to use and charges fast. The options for corrective actions are plentiful: shock, vibrate, sound, and light. Each intervention then has 5-6 strengths to choose from. I only had to use the stronger vibrate mode for my dog for her behavior and she responded within 3 tries. Amazing! I tried the shock function on myself to see what it would feel like on her and decided it was very strong (felt like a quick hot current but did not leave marks or prolonged discomfort.) my husband thought I was nuts but hey- she’s my baby and I wouldn’t do anything to her blindly. So this product is great! It’s working for us and I HIGHLY recommend it!

This is a great collar. It has four modes and the remote can work two collars. It is easy to use and has a great range. We take long hikes in forest and field, and the range of the collar allows me to get a response from my dog over distances. My Setter is off leash and working the fields. And he sometimes likes to "work" the forest... all this is off leash of course. So it is important for me to have a collar to which he responds, a collar that is reliable and works well, as this one does. (He isn't wearing the collar in the photo). This collar replaced another that stopped functioning after several months. I shopped carefully reading customer reviews, and have been glad that I chose this collar.In addition, I was in contact with Planetico customer service, because I had some questions. They were incredibly responsive and helpful. I was surprised because I don't expect this from an Amazon vendor. When at first I didn't answer their response to my emailed questions, they followed up to be sure I got their response. Wow, I was impressed. They clearly care about the product and their customers. This is my first time ever writing an Amazon review, but I was so impressed, I felt compelled to share my good experience.
