Released in October 1987, Belinda's second solo album after leaving The Go-Gos proved to be her breakthrough internationally, with the single "Heaven Is A Place On Earth" reaching number 1 all around the world. It was followed by "Circle In The Sand", "I Get Weak" and "World Without You", all UK Top 40 hits, the last two being written by Diane Warren, writer of Belinda's 2023 "Kismet" EP. The album went platinum in the US and Australia and triple platinum in the UK, indicating sales of almost a million copies. This new edition has been expertly mastered by Cicely Balston at AIR Mastering from the original stereo tapes using precision half-speed mastering. Half-speed mastering is a vinyl cutting technique that improves groove accuracy and transient information creating an incredibly detailed stereo image with a natural high frequency response. Presented in it's original sleeve, pressed on 180 gram heavyweight black vinyl, featuring an obi strip and housed in a poly-lined inner sleeve, with all the lyrics and credits on the 4 page insert.

At first I thought it was a bit pricey but the fact that you get 4 records and a CD AND a booklet describing the process of the how the album came together all in a beautiful box, well I couldn't be happier. Definitely worth the price. Get it while you can!

Alles Gut.
Alles positiv, von der Qualität der Schallplatte bis zur Verpackung, sehr sicher. Der Klang ist hervorragend und man hört viele Details. Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass das Album schmutzig war. Ich musste es 10 Minuten lang reinigen, bevor ich es anhören konnte.

I purchased the original album on cassette hard to believe that was 30 years ago. Great box set the amount of remixes and single versions are numerous. A brilliant trip down memory lane.

ベリンダを初めて知ったのは３０年以上前。GO-GO'Sがデビューした頃。その頃は元気なお姉ちゃんくらいの意識しかなかったが、ソロデビューしてから大人の女に変身。特にこのＣＤはベリンダの魅力が満載で、今聞いても全然色あせて無く、元気をくれる。手放せません。リマスター盤はでませんかね。
