Hooker is 'king'
So - 9 years later - I must agree with the previous reviewer: If you dig the blues, you can't do without the Earl. One rainy night around 1972, I heard an instrumental shuffle on the radio - and my life changed ! Earl Hookers playing on this tune (I believe track 6 on the CD) together with an impeccably tight backing is simply divine and will forever be one of my choices for the 'top ten' of all times. His recording career spanned 20 years, and a lot of his output is really not very good - but at his best, he is untouchable.
