Kitty Kaviar - 2 pack (1 oz each)

Probably just about the same. My cats have long been fans of Cat-Man-Doo bonito flakes which I scatter a few of on top of their dinners. This week, when we ran out, I decided to try Kitty Kaviar which, in this two-pack, is a bit cheaper per ounce than CMD, but the flakes look exactly the same and have the same ingredients list. CMD comes in a clear plastic jar with a clear plastic lid. KK comes in a cardboard carton with a plastic lid. The weight per container is the same, 1 oz. I've seen no size difference between the two products' flakes and no evidence whatever that cats even care about flake size. Both brands arrive via Amazon Prime in a day or two. I say, check prices and buy whichever costs less.The third version, the one without a cute name that brags about its flakes being bigger, costs less, and comes in a clear baggie-like plastic bag, gets raves from some Amazon reviewers and complaints from some others about a label written in Japanese and product that arrives with more crumbs than flakes (probably because its container is less protective.) It also costs a good bit less per ounce. Next time we need more, I'll check version #3's reviews and prices and may give it a try.

My cat loves the dried fish flakes. I used to buy the Kitty Kaviar brand in my local pet store. The flakes were thin and soft she loved them. As in, "let me meow at the top of my voice until you GIVE ME MY FISH," loved them. I ordered these and was stunned because they were not the same thing at all. They were hard for one thing, even though thin. But they had kind of hard edges. I should have returned them, but I just threw them out instead. Because when my cat says no to fish, you know its bad.

NEW! 6- PACK Kitty Kaviar (6 oz)  My sister-in-law gave me a can of Kitty Kaviar for my cats when she came to visit one time. Two years later I am still buying it as 2 of my 3 cats appear to be addicted to it. They have a set time when they get it and believe me, they let me know when it is time. One of them literally yaks at me and runs ahead of me down the hallway watching to make sure I am following. I make sure I have plenty of cans and when I go away, the people who feed my cats are also instructed to make sure the cats have their Kitty Kaviar. A little bit goes a long way. It's all natural with no additives and preservatives, does not need to be refrigerated and apparently has a great taste according to my cats' reaction to it. Can't be without it.

I have 2 adult rescue Siamese who had become blah about mealtime. I changed dry cat food from Science Diet to Innova which helped immensely. While I was at it I did a bit of research about kitty treats. Siamese are often the victims of renal failure so I wanted food and treats that we're easy on their kidney function. A co worker recommended KK and my cats are completely hooked. I must confess when I opened the first can the odor almost made me gag...and I am a nurse...but it decreased overtime or I got conditioned to it. Either way, I am thrilled to give my furry babies a healthy treat that they absolutely love!

Well, I have not personally tried Kitty Kaviar, but I recently got the 2-can special as I was ordering something else and wanted to avoid shipping costs by having my final costs go over what ever the top was then. I have eight cats - several of them love anything fish - none of them are especially fussy. And with eight cats, even if X number do not like Y product, some cat[s] will eat all or most of it. Not in the Kitty Kaviar case. Not a single cat was moved by the scent of Kitty Kaviar. I left some sprinkled on a large plate; the KK was nibbled at, then ignored until I tossed out what was left [most]. Have continued to offer it, no takers.

2 out of my 3 cats LOVE this (#3 is very finicky). My older cat is dying from cancer in his GI tract and sometimes this is all I can get him to eat. He just goes wild for it. Sprinkle it on top of other food, so he gets some of that when he is enthusiastically eating this. Had one container for years (it got shoved in the back of a deep shelf) and it was still good, so it really lasts.

Rights all the wrongs in the world with my cat! Great for a treat or reward. It's especially amazing anytime something unpleasant has to happen to her... pill, liquid medicine, ear cleaning, trips to the vet and the list goes on... follow up with the 'good stuff' aka Kitty Kaviar and she doesn't care! She is super finicky but gobbles this stuff up like it's going out of style. Will forever be a part of my cat care routine.

I am going to give it a 5 star review even though my cat hates it. Not all cats like Kitty Kaviar, the last cat I had loved it. The one I have now doesn't touch it. It flakes that smells like fish. It's a hit or miss. Just like my cat hates treats, other cats love them. I am sure if I gave this product to another cat somewhere, this product would be eaten in a few hours. I trust this brand.

Cats really enjoyed this treat but beware it is very thin so kind of gets dropped everywhere. Just the same it is worth it for the fur kids' reaction.

I have 2 cats: one who will eat anything, and one who hates everything, and usually has to be starving to try anything new. They both love these!! The 2oz. size is very generous!
