Good enjoyable film down to taste I agree but hey ho I enjoyed

One of the more constant and entertaining genres on the movie production line is the thriller. Such movies generate tension and excitement as they usually contain substantial action scenes involving gun fights, brutal assaults, and a level of violence that can be accepted by the viewer without too much reticence, or sense of reality. Naturally, each of these factors maintain the suspense level, therefore the interest, of the viewer.Such a film is “Survivor”, an occasionally gripping thriller about US State Department employee, Kate Abbot (played by Milla Jovovich), who is posted to the American Embassy in London. No easy life is envisaged for Kate Abbot, especially as she is charged with stopping terrorists from getting into the US of A. It is not specifically detailed as to how working in the American Embassy in London is intrinsically connected with such terrorist prevention and entry into the USA. In the narrative of this movie, that realisation must wait until the concluding part of the movie.However, such a position places Kate Abbot in the direct line of fire. This seems an inevitable implication for American occupants in this field of work. Early in the fiolm, and for reasons that are not entirely convincing, Abbot is framed for crimes she did not commit and, again inevitably, is targeted for death. The instrument of her killing is to be a very professional assassin, just known as Nash (played by Pierce Brosnan). Now Abbot must find a way of clearing her name and, in the process, endeavour to stop a large-scale terrorist attack, all the while avoiding being killed.As the above would indicate, the film is sufficiently involving for it to be a worthwhile watch, without requiring too much suspension of belief, or to demand repeat viewings. It is generally well acted by the film’s two star-named actors (Brosnan and Jovovich), with Brosnan in a rather understated and unusual role. An entertaining story, engrossing in parts - especially in a race against time towards the end, with good direction, and sections to engross the viewer, but not likely to remain in the memory for an overlong period.

Tries to be a sophisticated spy on the run type of affair (ala Bourne) mostly set in London but flails about with a less than stellar script and even less than stellar acting from Jovovich. An older, weathered looking Brosnan tries to add some gravitas to the film, as does Robert Forster but unfortunately it's all a bit meh. After watching Survivor I was surprised to see that the running time is given as 96 minutes, it felt a whole lot longer, and not in a good way. Don't get me wrong, I love a decent length thriller and it doesn't need to whizz-bang along because I've got a damaged attention span or a dose of ADHD, I quite like watching "not-a-lot-happens-but-in-an-interesting-way" films if they're done well.As a made for TV movie it's probably ok, just about.

the viewer WANTs to see that the fiesty heroine would win out in the end, however somehow the suspense lasted right to the last moments of the film.Touch of romance, enough human error to make the good guys believable.Classic failure of the bosses.all round does exactly what is says on the tin. a great thriller.

overall watchable, sometimes even enjoyableGood castgood-enough storyultra dumb in a few too many places as they seemed to vary between a "this is serious" tone and "we an action movie now", had they picked one it would have been the better for it.spoilermain downside is that to often both the friendlies and the bad guys "james bond sidekick" their way into a failure. Core culprit is the assassin that doesn't take several low-effort shots to cover his trail and prevent the MC from getting support.

Pierce Brosnan est excellent dans ce film, non plus que Milla Jovovich dans cet excellent thriller.

La película llegó antes del tiempo estimado, en perfectas condiciones.Muy buena película, me mantuvo entretenido, las actuaciones son buenas, tiene acción y suspenso.

je recommande ce film pour passer un bien bon moment, tant l'action et le suspense sont entretenus, et le film bien réalisé. Milla Jovovich, dans ce rôle (brune) d'agent du gouvernement est excellente. P.Brosnan également (je ne le savais pas si méchant !.)un très bon film, à mon goût, que je garderai dans ma collection et que je reverrai avec plaisir à nouveau dans quelque temps.
