We usually place fresh Cilantro in a jar or glass with "pure" water in the refrig, like it's a flower in water. But, usually they wilt around the edges and stick to the container. But, this time I rinsed the Cilantro in purified water, spread it out over a towel and gently rolled it up so water would be absorbed off Cilantro. Then put them in the new perforated bag and folded and clipped it together. Fresh looking and taste is excellent today in the salads.Good product except:I'd like a size selection of these perforated bags. Is this plastic? Too bad there isn't a bag that's not going to remain in the landfill and our oceans.These are really large and it would be helpful if an easy closure, like "baggies" is added. Are these made of plastic? Too bad someone can't invent a perforated bag that's not going to remain in our landfills and oceans for eons. I had extra of this perforated bag, so I cut the bag, rolled up the red pepper half and used a rubber band to secure it.

They're bigger than I anticipated but they work very well for fresh food

My wife expanded her bread making skill to include hot dog and hamburger rolls. We sampled a variety of paper and waxed paper bags. Some with perforated windows were very expensive. The rolls last a day longer in these perforated plastic bags than in the best paper ones. They balance the need to keep most air out without losing all crustiness which happens when we use regular plastic storage bags.

I am not sure why these are marketed as bread bags. The title says what they are: "vented produce bags." Years ago Ziploc sold a "Fresh Produce Bag," which worked great for keeping veggies from aging quickly in the fridge. These bags are the best substitute I have found for them. They work fine for their actual purpose. As other comments here would indicate, they are not very good for storing bread.

I am on my second order of these great bags. Roomy; allow for ventilation of homemade baked products so as to retain crustiness and yet allow for freshness preservation. Only thing that prevents my five star rating is the detachable strip on top, which rips off easily but not smoothly and can even shred a bit, risking it inadvertently adhering to breads when defrosting or reheating. Otherwise I love them, and will reorder happily.

These type of bags are great if you buy Italian bread and want it to stay crunchy on the outside.It works so much better than plastic bags which soften the outside of the bread.

These bags are perfect. They are very large and have just the right size/number of holes for air exchange while preserving humidity.I use them as covers to for plants that love high humidity. Light goes through and air exchange isn't compromised while keeping things nice and humid. Just cut along the seams and secure with some type of tie to the container.Just so you know, these are the exact same type of bag that you would get your french bread in at the bakery. They are sometimes also used in floral departments.Would definitely buy these again, you should too!
