This sounds great, but even after the firmware upgrade the graphic display stops working on a Macbook running laters OS. A reboot of the device is required and is not a showstopper but you feel the difference between this and RME and you buy one of these to save a bit of money and get similar experience.Sound wise its a bit better than my audio interface (UAD Apollo X) but not a million miles, just opens up slightly. The Apollo X uses ESS Sabre chips as does the Topping but the D70PRO uses a better version of the chip but only really good ears will hear the opening of the top end and the slightly more focused midrange and bass. You need a decent hedphone amp to really appreciate this so get a Topping L30 ii and good headphones to apreciate the experience. The headphone amp in my view is more of an upgrade than the DAC.A good DAC but only for serious audiophiles. The rest can mix or listen on something a little less pricy and acheive sililar results.
