Lack of padding
Arms of the chair basic wood panelspress into forearm/ elbow . More padding required within the arms.

Best chair ever, so comfy. Cushion is nice and firnm but not to firm. Looks fab too.

View a suite before you buy
The sofas don't match one frame is like black snake skin, the other plain black. The sides are also hollow with this thin black material and you can feel small strips of wood down the sides and small pieces of wood at the bases

Updated Review: Vendor good to their promise
Updated Review - 14th May 2021Vendor has kept true to their word and have succeeded in providing the replacement product by their given timeline. We are delighted with the product and with Abakus in dealing with this.While it has been a lengthy process, I would be happy to purchase from Abakus again, and appreciate how good they were at getting back to me.Original Review below....I don't normally write reviews, however felt obligated to write this.On ordering, it was not immediately obvious the items would be delivered by a courier company called arrowxl. This in itself is not a bad thing, however I will come to that.My experience with ordering this is as follows:1. Placed the order through Amazon, delivery date was given as a guideline, essentially between a date range, my experience was basically the last day of that date range. I was contacted by arrowxl to schedule the delivery date the day before the last day of the expected delivery date. Up to this point, everything is all ok, so far experience is good.From here the experience goes down hill.2. Product was delivered to me on Friday 16th April. The courier literally offloaded the product from the van and left - we were not offered the opportunity to inspect the packaging or product for signs of damage. After opening one side of the package, immediately it was clear there was damage, a huge 6-7 inch rip to the rear of the chair, I could not now refuse the item as the delivery drivers had left.3. I contact arrowxl to explain, being it had only been 15 to 20 minutes since they left, I asked for them to collect the product and return it as it is not fit for purpose, they explained they could not do this and that I had to contact the seller now. This was pretty frustrating.4. I contacted the seller by phone (not an easy task as they do not provide there details on Amazon, so Google searching to the rescue). In fairness, the person I spoke to was polite and apologized for the inconvenience. While I am or at least was wanting just a replacement for the damaged product, on reflection I am quite upset to be told I would only be offered a partial refund if I didn't want it replaced. On reflection, I realise this is pretty poor and not what should have been said. Thankfully I paid via credit card, so I would have credit card purchase protection.6. I was told I would be contacted on Monday 19th by arrowxl to arrange collection, it took several times of contacting before finally being contacted on Friday 23rd to arrange for the collection.5. My item was collected on Monday 3rd May, i was asked to select a collection date, but literally this was the only day I was offered, nothing else before or after.6. After the item being collected, it has taken me again to reach out to Abakus to confirm this was collected and ask again when I would receive my replacement.7. I received a reply apologising for the delay in the collection, this was appreciated, however I have only been advised I should receive my replacement next week, I assume this to be the week of May 10th-14th, this is not expressly confirmed. Since Thursday 06th May I am still waiting....It's hard to conclude my feelings of this purchase while this is still ongoing, however one thing is clear is this has not been the best experience. To summarize so far, and hopefully some constructive feedback to the seller....The packaging does not seem adequate to protect the products - it would be good if some extra padding was put in place inside the cardboard box, the packaging did not look in the best condition on arrival, maybe the contents would have been ok with some extra padding/foam.None should ever be told a partial refund would be offered for a defective product.Abakus have been good in responding, in fact very quickly - the customer service experience could be improved with, 1. Not requiring the consumer to constantly chase in order to get a response, 2. Providing a direct way to contact the company, doing this through Amazon works, but it's not the best experience especially where email comy requires more than one interaction.I'm hopeful I will eventually receive the replacement, the sad part for me is this is the first time I have ever had to report a defect from an item I purchased through Amazon, tragically, it has not been a very good experience.
