User manual states 250 watt motor. Arrived with loose parts in box and some damage.
This bicycle arrived iquickly. Inside the box were the buttons for Horn and Headlight. It seems there was some damage to the switch and the bezel that holds the buttons in place was broken. I was able to preserve the parts and epoxy them back in place. In spite of the repair the switch failes to work. This bike is listed as 1000 watt motor power. The user manual say only 250 watts power. It is possible to 'tweak the motor to use more power. But, if it can't handle the extra power it could cause motor controller or motor failure. Amazon was consulted and I will know in 4 days if they can do anything for me. The assembly of the bike went well with the tools provided. The front wheel is held in place with a 'locking' spring loaded screw on center pin that goes thru the center of the front hub and screws on one side and locks on the other. The center of the wheel hub barely fit inside the front forks and took some effort to assure good placement. Headlight installed with an issue. The bracket holding the headlight in place was under so much tension it stripped the screws out due to pressure from the side arms that hold it. It became necessary to re-thread the aluminum on the headlight and use larger diameter screws. Also, to use some pressure to 'bend' the headlight bracket so the arms would meet the headlight without placing too much pressure on the retaining screws. Other than these glitches the bike went together well. I am confused as there is a threaded rod left over and two nuts that doesn't seem to go anywhere. The included battery took about 5 hours to charge with the included two amp charger. So, I would suggest removing the bike rom the box and starting battery charging before assembly. For someone without extra tools this could have been a chore to set up and might take more than one day. The included pamphlet explanes the bike and features it is partially in English, mostly in Chinese an somewhat helpful. At this time, the bike has not been ridden. A test ride gave a speed of 23 KPH with no wind on a level road. The speed loweered to 12 KPH going up-hill on an 8% grade. From a stop it barely turned the wheel on grade and had to be pedeled to start moving. The pedel arms are long and for my 5'9" body my legs were too long for useful pedeling.. I investigated this. bike. All, indications show that this bike has a 250 watt motor. This is not as claimed a 1000 watt motor. I found this bike (M1-J1) for sale on the web and documented on You-Tube. This gives a likely specification that the Ad on Amazon is wrong! The bike is not 1000 watts as listed.. It is instead 250 watt. This means it is underpowered. The best I can say is that the battery pack seems robust and might give good distance, especially since it has half the power. I am disappointed that I did not recieve what I paid money to buy. Because of the issues and mistake in listing i think this earns a solid 1 star. Finally, I am mulling over returning this Bike.Further update: The motor is weak in spite of the vendor 'tweak'. You can not 'make' a 250 watt motor behave like a 1000 watt motor, no matter how much power you supply! Using the vendor supplied 'Tweak' could cause damage or a fire! Amazon has failed for a new switch. Vendor has failed on a refund. DO NOT buy this item! Shame on Amazon!Addendum:Some U.S, States have a 50cc equivalency written in Law for electric bikes. A 50cc fuel powered motor is unregulated. A 50cc motor can yield 2-3 horsepower and for electric bikes 750 watts is 1 hoursepower. This means that a bike will be at or below the 50cc equivalent at 1500-2250 watts of power. 500 wats is equivalent to 2/3 of a horsepower. Just say'in.

A better manual for the display
Very comfortable but took me a week to figure out how to get it to top speed of 30mph because when you get it it only does 15mph there a few things you have to do with the display to get max power and thats something that should be in the manual other than that love it

The media could not be loaded. We ordered 2 bikes and one isn’t working I already tried the common solutions in the manual but still doesn’t work. Also the seller doesn’t response. Not worth the money.

We like it so far, however I'm still trying to get the speed adjusted to its top speed.
