This knife is great and slices through a rack of ribs with ease. It's comfortable to hold a good weight.I haven't cleaned this through a dishwasher as I prefer to use hot soapy water so I can't comment on how durable it is from that perspective. A fantastic addition to my kitchen utensils.If you are into cooking, or looking for a gift for someone who is - then I can highly recommend.

This is by far my new favorite knife. It is still incredibly sharp after several uses and works really good. The handle is comfortable and the size of the knife is exactly what I prefer.Overall, I am really pleased with this knife and would recommend this to anyone looking to add an all-purpose knife to their kitchen.

I had always wanted a large flat blade knife for food preparation but wanted one that could easily cope with vegetables and meats equally well. A Chinese style knife seemed to be the one but the lack of point limited its usefulness for me. This one is a great hybrid compromise, wide enough for slicking and carrying veg, sharp point for puncturing firm meats and even heavy enough for cutting through Chicken bones if needs be. The knife is well made, full tang with a comfortable riveted wooden handle and a decent sheath to protect fingers when it is stored away. The steel seems decent quality and has a good ring to it, so far no chipping or folding on the edge and its easy to hone to razor sharpness. For the price its a decent working knife and I am happy with it.
