Top fitting is better
I like that it is fairly easy to use and is much cheaper than buying a separate hood for your aquarium. I think it is better for larger tanks that have 6mm thick glass (probably larger than 60L) Mine is only 4mm glass (54L tank) and so I used the side fitting method - problem being it cannot be rolled back, as in the video, but has to be lifted up whole like a hinged lid.

Not for what i needed
Assembly quite fiddly but I do enjoy small diy projects so wasn't awful. What is awful is the actual product! Within a week the magnets almost seemed to be pushing against each other and lifting off. Only bought to make it safe for my new kitten whose only 14 weeks and very light yet when she put her 2 front paws to lean on and look it collapsed in! Not sure how this would work for an older cat so not for what i bought it for
