Revolutionary War on Wednesday (Magic Tree House (R))

My son loves these series of books, very simple but full imagination and true facts

This was a request on a "Christmas in July" tree for a private school. Bought it for them. Can't really offer much else. Thanks!

I'm a special education teacher at the elementary school level. I have a small reading group of third and fourth graders who, at around Thanksgiving, had just finished up James and the Giant Peach (which they loved - and I loved as a kid as well). They were actually excited to read it every day, so I was hoping to find a great book or series that we could follow that up with.My seventeen-year old son actually recommended the Magic Treehouse series to me (I'd seen it around/heard of it but never read it or used it in my classes before), and we started with this one on the Revolutionary War.They enjoyed the book, and of course, it opened the door to have conversations about history as well, which is great. We're about to start our third Magic Treehouse book (about Jackie Robinson) next week.I've been teaching virtually since last March, so I've been buying the Kindle versions and sharing my screen with the students. It works great.

Perfect for school

I bought this for my grandson. These books are easy to read for new readers. He was playing video games and they started reading this book series (Magic Tree House) in school. I was doing genealogy work on my family and discovered my 4 times Great-Grandfather was in the militia or German Regiment all of the war and before that, so I was able to set up a frame of reference for this book! We read it together.

I bought this for my girlfriend's son because I got tired of he and his older sister not knowing anything about history. I figured that I would start him off with the Magic Tree House books because I have read some other books in this series and he loves them. He ended up loving this book and the companion book so much that I am now on the lookout for more books like this.Thank you Mary Pope Osborne for helping me to help the kids learn about history in a really fun way.
